I don't understand, after reading the first fic and seeing the note at the start of this one, what is the point of including what seems to an extremely AU version of SG1 when they really don't even seem to have anything to do with the story? On top of that in order to include them you've had to totally mess with Andromeda canon to where it isn't even similar anymore. I guess a lot of the problem is you drop all those changes in but there is no explanation or back story or justification for even why all those changes were needed? So far, it seems like it would have been just as good and much less confusing to simply have Xander transported by magic into a different reality. He lands in the Athena who also slipped realities into the Trek one and they fight the Borg and then get to this reality. Seems like that would be much more coherent.

Maybe you have something planned that would make all your initial AU changes makes sense but so far they just seem to confuse things when you have a great story idea that seems just as good without them.

Very interesting series. Keep up the good work, and hope to see more. Babylon 5 it would let them pick up some basic tech upgrades and a few crew members (maybe a TechnoMage or Telepath or Ranger or Narn or Drazi etc. for crew and a Hyperdrive generator to complament the Slipstream and a Minbari fighting pike as a non firing backup to the Forcelance).

Review:
This is a cool story, it has an interesting idea and is well written technically speaking. The characters however, are a little two dimensional. Moving the story along is important, but character development is important too. Characterization shouldn't simply be assumed on the basis of their prior existence in their original canon, particularly when so much has happened to them since then.

I'd like to see the new BSG as the next milieu.

If you take this a bit longer term than the preceding storyline (which did admittedly seem like the setup for a longer series) then Babylon 5 might be worth adding about now. During the Shadow War period or the rebellion against Clark's corrupt EarthGov would let them pick up some crew members (they don't need to be main characters if you don't want them to) and a few basic tech upgrades. It wouldn't be supertech but it might help them in unexpected ways later. The Rangers would LOVE the force lance with its similarities the the Minbari fighting pike. If you time it right, G'Kar and Lyta Alexander left to explore on their own and would probably be ripe for a universal jump or ten. Also, the TechnoMages left shortly before the Shadow War to prevent their tech from falling into evil hands and it would be hard to find a better hiding place than another universe. The reason to pick up a crew is even in Andromeda canon which clearly states that an AI when teamed up with a crew is far more effective at combat than an AI fighting alone. One thing I would appreciate you doing is providing a general description of the Orion class ships. Are they gracefully deadly looking like in the Andromeda series or the utilitarian look of SG-1 (not that I'm knocking that either, form follows function after all)? The Asguard did get style points for their designs so it could be precedented. Plus I have two words I would like to hear a positive response to: Slip Fighters. 'Nuff said.

Hmmm... the aliens universe perhaps after the destruction of the nostromo? I have to say this whole series sounds like a hell of a wild ride no matter were it goes.

I favor ST:Voyager and/or ST:DS9. But only if this would be a long term story, with being kept in the Star Trek universe and time... Not necessary the same Alexander and ship came from...

But a little bit of anything would be interesting to read otherwise, so if it is short stories, then maybe a Star Wars visit sometime? Now, that they do not have super engines or anything, then maybe Battlestar Galactica would be the best for this part.
