Review of chapter "Dreaming pt.3 ...Demons made it their home" from Gideon
Review:
I don't think that would have been very smart of the sackthings. maybe that is why all the huge cities are deserted on mars?
Well done on creating the atmosphere there. Very creepy.
Comments from author:
Thanks.
I've noticed that in a lot of Lovecraft type stories (as opposed to those written by Lovecraft himself), the more the monster is described, the sillier it sounds. So the trick is to suggest things without completely describing them - which makes Skippy a pretty good narrator, since he can't describe anything very completely.

Review of chapter "Dreaming pt. 2...And it wasn't a Paradise" from Gideon
Review:
Skippy the Hero? better be careful here, it almost sounds like you have a plot!
Comments from author:
Not really, although I do have an idea for the next chapter. Skippy really can't do very much by himself; unless I can think of a way to give him hands (hmm... insane Ancient geneticist, maybe ?).

Goooood Skippy.

I agree. Martians brûlée ARE smelly.

Review of chapter "A Speculative Digression" from Gideon
Review:
Sounds Awesome. I was always partial to the idea of the moon being split off the rest of our planet by a large impact. It would be pretty cool to see that, even 2nd hand :)
Comments from author:
I had something a little different in mind, if I can pull it off. But this story is an "anyone can add" kind of deal, so there's no telling what might happen next. Thanks for commenting.

Review of chapter "Skippy finds a thing" from Gideon
Review:
Sounds like Skippy would make a good archaeologist :)
Comments from author:
Yeah, this is a little awkward. It turns out, if you're describing a scene through the eyes of a character, it's easier if the character isn't totally baffled. It might have been smarter to go with the "omniscient narrator" option for that part - but it was kind of fun to write. Thanks for commenting.

Anyone care to write Skippy stumbling across a mars rover and accidentally stamping on it?
