I like it. :) Also, I've been looking for some good ideas for my own Buffy/Harry Potter crossover story with the pairing of Buffy Summers and Lucius Malfoy. In my mind, this oneshot definitely gave me the inspiration I needed so that I might write one sometime.

Of course I can also imagine Voldemort already being dead and then Lucius using his charms to enchant Buffy, thus swaying her into his bed. Wow - so many ideas to pick out and work with, and yet so many writing prompts to choose from with that, of course...

It just struck me as supremely arrogant of the Wizarding World to assume that one, they could force a Slayer to do anything, and two, that if they did manage to force a marriage on her, that it would be in their best interests, not hers.

...But older Buffy, I can also kinda see her at least getting some enjoyment out of this first. Like convincing him they should just have sex first, then she can take the potion and they can go at it again, but obviously he would die before that second time.

And she really does have an odd way of attracting those baddies, doesn't she?

Ick, despite him being somewhat attractive, I think Buffy's had her fill of bad guys - no pun intended. And she's already done the destructive sex thing with Spike.

Works for me. Certainly a better ending than the rest of the execrable "marriage law" fics that HP fandom is infested with.

I kind of get a kick out of the marriage law thing, but want to add a Hellmouth twist whenever I can. I have another plottribble (my version of the plotbunny) about the law that I'll have to try and write up soon.
