You're very good at getting the tone of the characters right and for the most part the changes and similarities to canon seem plausabile, although the camping trip seemed forced.

Well, I don't see it as forced, so much. In canon, the family went out for the same general reason - so that Jake could work off stress - and a good bit of the dialog was from that. With this, his complaint about Mad Dog comes back to him as an epiphany, and the rest rolls on naturally.

Wow, I can barely remember this cartoon, but from what I can remember you have taken the canon characters & episodes and expanded on them perfectly. Daria is still sarcastic but is even more real. Quinn still cares about herself but you've made her a human being too. Great job, now I need to go read the sequel!

Daria has always been one of my all time favorite shows, and this has been a very interesting take on a au version of it. Can't wait to get caught up.

Loved it! I have very fond memories of watching Daria growing up, and really should make time to try watching it again now that its out on DVD. And I thought your alternate take here worked really well. Thank you so much for writing this unexpected treat. :)

Thanks for commenting. This Daria is just a little different than canon Daria, as she has had to deal with being in the closet, and not accepting things as much.
