Blaming Albus for their ritual...Hermy kicking Snape in the balls and then decking McG.....what an awesome chapter.....I hope you don't let us hang to long for a new chapter :)
Comments from author:
Glad you enjoyed the story, and I felt it was long past time for Albus to be the one saying, "What the hell is going on here?" when it came to figuring out what was happening and why. ;-)
wow what a talk to McG and after kidnapping Hermy they all shout run as fast as they can without looking back :)
Comments from author:
Yes, the ritual was successful, and things are not going to improve very much for the Hogwarts staff in the near future (or even the next couple thousand years). ;-)
Awesome! More...? Can't wait to see how they explain things at St Mungos - will the doctors be able to tell what they did? Please update soon!
Comments from author:
While the medi-wizards and -witches will be able to tell what happened to them, more or less, who or what is responsible is another matter, entirely. ;-)
Hopefully, the next chapter won't be too long in coming.

Clearly, Hermoine is a young woman of significant restraint, seeing as her (undoubtedly) increased strength could have bisected Snape, or separated Minnie's jaw from her face. :)
I especially like the situation of Dumbles having to prove a negative, i.e. a lack of culpability for the obvious changes in two of his students. Why, a certain potion might be introduced to compel a truthful accounting... and wouldn't that be too bad for the man who hordes information like water in the desert...

Yes, one of the first things Harry and Hermione learned was to control their strength. More on their training in the next chapter.
And yes, Dumbledore is going to be squirming uncomfortably, since it is very difficult to prove a negative assumption, as you have pointed out. And considering his attitude towards sharing information, he's going to be *very* unpopular with a great many people. ;-)

-snicker- Now *that* is most definitely an elegant revenge, especially when it's framed around one of the few things Albus and his minions aren't responsible for. The physical chastisement at the end was a nice touch, too, and I suspect McGonagall is not going to enjoy the following proceedings either, nor Ms. Granger's shift from greatly liking her to greatly loathing her. It seems likely that Crouch,Jr. will not enjoy matters either as I rather suspect that Madame Bones is going to check all the teachers.
Comments from author:
The best part of this scheme is that something Dumbledore isn't responsible for in anyway is going to be giving him some *major* problems. ;-)
And I somehow think that this is just the beginning of Dumbledore and company's problems. ;-)

Review of chapter "Chapter Four" from CrystalBlaze
Review:
I notice their temper is more.. Namor-like.. A result of their change?
This is well crafted. I have to admit, ever since I read the section of the book where Trevor was fed Neville's Shrinking Solution (which was in actuality a youthening potion as it rendered him a tadpole, but only temporarily), I have had occasional thoughts of Potter getting force fed other people's funked-over potions.. and ending up with a symbiote, as in the Venom variety, just without any preset powers.Even figured it'd template its personality off Harry the same way the Venom symbiote did off of Peter.
The only thing keeping me from writing up a challenge on it is not yet knowing when best to place this for wreaking utter havoc at Hogwarts. (Personally, I'm for those like Ron to be called on their dumber behavior, but not reassigned to darkness. Snape is a git of the Light, end stop. You see my way of thinking there.)
Comments from author:
I would tend to think that Harry's and Hermione's changes in attitude are due to their realization that the authority figures they had previously looked to for guidance are either complete and utter buffoons without a real clue about what they're doing, or scheming and manipulative bastards who don't care about either of them in the slightest.
And while I think your idea is quite interesting, I've got enough plot bunnies nibbling at my ankles as is. I do think you should write this up as a challenge to post on the site here. ;-)

It great to see Hermione be the character to start settling some scores. Well done.

Thanks, I appreciate your noting that. I decided that I wanted this story to be as unlike canon as I could make it, while trying to keep close to the established canon events.
I also rather doubt that the Third Task is going to end up in a manner similar to the series. ;-)
