Review:
I'm sure looking forward to reading more of this. I really like this Harry and Hermione. The H & H Magnum couple!
Comments from author:
Yep, this pairing definitely one you want to get on the wrong side of. ;-)

The only thing I'm missing from this story is the bloody slaughter this pairing is going to embark on!

Cheers~!

Review:
Heh, nice. I'd kind of like to see a short-to-medium treatment of a story where Harry and (true companion(s)) pull off a political win like this to get rid of the Supposed Good Guys manipulating them, then are suh-kuh-REWD when the Obvious Bad Guys are still around and eager to take advantage of the loss of the highly effective screen the other side had been providing to keep Harry and co. apart from outside influences.

And then have him win anyway, because fuck downer endings, but do it by having to fight twice as hard for lack of support, however questionably intended, and end up cursing the Supposed Good Guys twice over for all the heartache and trouble that could have been avoided if they were honestly on his side and trustworthy.

(edit because I got sidetracked from actually talking about your story) As it stands, though, it looks like you're getting ready to wrap things up with this year, and that's something I've always said should have been done in canon so I have no complaints on that front.
Comments from author:
As far as Harry and Hermione are concerned, they have no true allies aside from Sirius and Remus, and they are surrounded by several groups of enemies with differing degrees of intent to harm or kill them - Riddle and his Death Eaters, Dumbledore and his minions, and Fudge and the rest of idiots at the Ministry.

They've managed to mostly neutralize one group (Dumbledore and his minions) and have redirected the focus of another (the Ministry), so they only need to deal with Tommy-boy and his minions to move into a position where they can reasonably expect to be left alone.

And, as you pointed out, that final confrontation is imminent, and it is going to be a lot more significant than it was in JKR's canon-verse.

Review:
[Que "Dragnet" TV theme] Methinks Tom and minion(s) will really regret this; getting *this* Hermione truly pissed off is a nice way to get yourself killed. I'll be looking forward to the next chapter and seeing how this works out.
Comments from author:
Yes, I think that Tom and company are going to seriously regret screwing with this version of Harry and Hermione. ;-)

Not sure when the next chapter will appear - that's entirely up to my muse.

Review of chapter "Chapter Five" from (Current Donor)dogbertcarroll
Review:
Water covers 75 percent of the earth and countless treasures have been lost at sea. I doubt they'll stick around topside with all that's below waiting to be discovered.
Comments from author:
Quite true. I can't see them hanging around the Wizarding World after the Tournament, regardless, especially since, as you pointed out, they have access to so much more of the world than the rest of humanity does.

Fantastic story I like how they have ruined the reputations of Dumb-as-a-door, Snape, and Professor Kitty Cat. I look forward to the next chapter. Glad you're enjoying the story. ;-)

And I don't have any plans for any discovery of any Ancient or extraterrestrial technology for this story.

Which doesn't mean another story might not eventually show up which does incorporate that idea.

Whoah! Didn't see that coming! Guess Barty needed a new bod! Too bad he ended up with Filch, though it is sorta karmic... I hope that muse of yours coughs up the next chapter a little faster, but I know the vagueries of creativity are not to be rushed.
Comments from author:
Glad you enjoyed the chapter, and yes, things aren't looking good for Filch, regardless of what the actual explanation for his actions are. ;-)

Review of chapter "Chapter Five" from LFW
Review:
Very happy to have more of this fic
This is showing Harry and Hermione as a bit more bloody-minded, is this from training or the altered bodies?
Hoping for more
Thanks
Comments from author:
It's a combination of both their training and the realization that they - and pretty much every other mundane-born or non-pureblood student or member of Wizarding society - have been screwed over repeatedly by the cliques or factions in charge of running things, and that any hope of continued survival and/or success is up to them.

Glad you enjoyed the story. ;-)

Review:
Argus Filch, RIP. (Rent Into Pieces)

...what, him? The asshat may have been into torture, but he's no Killmuncher.

Crouch, Jr. is, of course, and when he saw the jig was up for his being Moody, he stole all the Polyjuice ingredients from Snape's potions stock and used his current supply to setup Filch to die as the"impostor Moody" while choking down the ancient-bland polyjuice of Filch since he harvested Filch's hair beforehand.

As a universally-despised and ignored Squib, he could and did lay low easily.
In short, that was still Crouch, Jr. in the maze, taking a much more direct approach...

...unless I'm wrong.
Comments from author:
Well, that's a very good and well-thought-out analysis of the situation. 0.0

Which, this being the Wizarding World, most likely means it's completely wrong. ;-)

All I'll say right now is, that anything is possible when it comes to the Potter-verse. ;-)

Review:
Heh, why do I have this image of Hermione riding in like a vengeful Valkyrie and harry just sort of watch while Tom bobs and bows and says sorry over and over again Lol
Comments from author:
Nice idea, but I think that once Hermione shows up, Tommy-Boy's not going to have a chance to say much more than, "Oh Merlin, that hurts!", before he's snuffed out like a candle. ;-)
