Good read, I do not watch 'Dexter' and I still got most of the Dexter backstory. The Mayor is the next big bad, but I do not think that DexterX is likely to ignore the swim coach or Anya is she makes him think that vampWillow is his Willow. Hoping for more from you Thanks

Glad you enjoyed this one - writing a Dexter-influenced Xander is a little bit unnerving when I really sit down and think about what he'd be willing to do to keep his people safe. ;-)
And yes, once the Scoobies learn that it's the Mayor behind everything going on in town, then I think the Honorable Mayor Wilkins is going to come to an untimely, but quite unlamented, end.
And poor Anyanka is going to be simultaneously delighted by Xander's attitude and behavior, and scared shitless that he'll be coming after her for her little 'flub' involving Willow and her demonic doppelganger. ;-)

This is actually an accurate look at what Xander would be like if he ever cut loose, or left the Scoobie for what ever reason. With no Willow to channel his protectiveness away from terminal solutions, there would be a significant drop number of those that even annoyed someone he cared for.
And now I wonder if he's doing his version of Search and Destroy while the girls sit back congratulating themselves on keeping him out of danger.... And if Faith's street instincts would allow her to see some or all of what Xander is "hiding" from the rest of the world.
And speaking of Faith, is she even a Slayer? The way I read Angelus' thoughts about Kendra, it could go either way - she might have died per canon; Xander could have used his extensive knowledge of anatomy, medicine, etc., to keep her alive long enough for proper medical help to take over, maybe she crashes on the way to the hospital so Faith gets empowered?
What are your thoughts, O Muses of the Grey Wizard Of Electronia, and the Great Grey One Himself?
Comments from author:
I'm not saying anything about what did or did not happen in this particular 'verse, since there are a number of stories waiting to be told. I just have to find the time to write them.

I hope Xander is careful with the blood. Mixing fresh blood on an altar in Sunnydale could be very bad :( I hope he can keep a secret too, because I don't think Buffy would be happy to know that he had disposed of Angel(us). Maybe she can get involved when Xander is unable to kill the Mayor. I'm sure together they can come up with something for the invulnerable Mayor that will keep him down.
Comments from author:
No one involved with the Scoobies would be *that* careless with blood. 0.0
And I think that a coating of a nice clear lacquer or polyurethane over the top of an altar would help minimize any potential unwanted side-effects.
And given the way Buffy typically regarded Xander when it can to facing off against the bad guys (remember the 'fray-adjacent' incident?), I can't see her ever considering him to be any sort of threat to a demon of Angelus' standing, so why would she ever suspect him to doing away with her former lover's body?
And as far as dealing with the mayor when he's still invulnerable to harm, I can think of several ways to incapacitate him while still leaving him alive. At least, alive until the ninety days duration of the spell runs out. ;-)
Oh, and none of those ways are fun for the recipient. ;-)

Just curious, DID, and if he did, how did Xander depose of the Judge. Another query: At what point would Principal Snyder prove worthy Xander's attention/table?
Comments from author:
The answer to your first question is going to end up as another short story, so you'll have to wait on that.
And while Snyder is a terrible human being, unless he becomes a vampire or is actually eitehr a serial killer or some sort of demon, who kills people, Xander won't go after him with the intentions of adding a sample of Snyder's blood to his collection.

His motivation but what about his compulsion? Xander's already motivated enough to do something. Given more knowledge and skills a plus. A compulsion could prove dangerous, though. Thanks for sharing and giving me something to think about.
Comments from author:
Xander's primary motivation has always seemed to be to eliminate vampires, in order to prevent other people from suffering the loss of a loved one, the way he has.
Dexter just gave him some ideas about the best way to go about it.
