Review of chapter "start the last leaf whirling" from RevDorothyL
Poignant and compelling. Any chance of a follow-up, putting more of River and Simon's adventures from 'Firefly' in a 'Star Wars' fusion setting?

Review of chapter "start the last leaf whirling" from BlueEyedBrigadier
In hindsight, River's situation with the Academy definitely echoes what was presumably done with those Force-sensitive children who became the Emperor's Hands and the fusion of the two story lines into a single unit was brilliant, Jedi Buttercup!
Have to wonder how certain other Big Damn Heroes (aka the 7 remaining members of Serenity's crew) could be slotted in this tale or a sequel, since the Star Wars universe didn't seem to have anything like the Companions' Guild, (Inara would need to be nobility or an actual Ambassador or even an Imperial Senator) and Mal & Zoe's backgrounds as ex-soldiers would be awkward to adapt in some ways since the Republic's military was comprised of predominantly clones baring senior officers (excluding Jedi) during the Clone Wars and the Separatists used combat droids for most everything but covert infiltration or other missions droids couldn't handle. Could always make Mal & Zoe more direct analogues for Han, with them being former Imperials that got kicked up for stirring up noise over certain policies or actions that disagreed with their sensibilities....

Wonderful joining of two stories. I hope that River will someday hear of the Emperor's death and know she is truly free.
