I second having an entire series about the others. A suggestion: have Buffy's encounter with 'the best' be the prelude; have others of lesser caliber try, with varying results on the others. Gile's "Ripper" terrorizing one group, Xander's sending more running in terror; Dawn, I suggest them returning totally insane, as HER Power is far more....chuthulu than most; Willow's kills one or more of the insertion team, as does Faith's. I dare say after the Dream spy's encounters with the core council's minds, they swear off en masse from even THINKING about taking a job dealing with the Council as targets >:).

All excellent ideas! :) I'm only concentrating on finishing Cure for Boredom right now, but we'll see where the muse leads me after that. Maybe I'll come back and add another piece or two to this. Thanks so much for reading and reviewing!

This was *fun*! Good thing Wolfram and Hart went after Buffy first, though -- the others might not have been so well defended mentally. I hope the rest of the Scoobies are now off limits, too.

And they were totally wrong about Buffy having no experience with dream protection; she had that whole combined dream with Giles, Willow and Xander from season 4. Very nice story!

Well done. I like it. The inception pieces were true to the original but twisted just enough to reflect the reality of Buffy's world. And some very scary things live in Buffy's world. They are lucky that some part of her subconscious was trying to save them.
