Review of chapter "Coming Clean" from unicornzvi
Review:
I kept reading this series hoping there'd be more of the quality I saw in the first story, unfortunately that doesn't seem to be the case.

Edit: The first story had a plausible sounding scenario with characters that spoke and acted (for the most part) like I'd expect real people to do in that situation, subsequent stories had ridiculously unbelievable scenarios and the characters talked like their canon selves even when that didn't fit the new setting. The later was especially true with Buffy.

That story was *great* fun! The dialogue was spot on, even Pazuzu, who was not at all what I was expecting from a Mesopotamian demon-god but was somehow perfectly appropriate anyway.

Particular touches I liked include: Buffy's style of leadership, debriefing and Q&A (banning "are you serious" and "this is crazy"); Ethan's twisty plotting; the zombie home team vs. the zombie away team; and Regan and Giles being there in the clinch to ask an Ancient God the tough questions. Did Giles manage to keep the notes? They'd be great for posterity, even if they'd never get published in academia. ("So what's your source for this?" "Uh...") And perhaps the WCI will want to recruit Regan now, since they've learned she's a bookish type with mystical experience, and Regan might be at loose ends now since her dig got shot up.

Awesome story in a wonderful series.

Review of chapter "AAR" from Gideon

So the Hero of this story was Ethan all along? Well done to Buffy and Faith though, using all the resources available to them and then some. Stopping a godling in his tracks is not an easy task. At least Buffy's next mission should be easier, right?

Review:
"I can recognize apocalyptic terminology in forty languages" is a great line, even though your version of Buffy is sharp enough to scare me a little. And the "conversation across the wire" between a government agent and a slayer on one side and possessed zombies on the other was the best example of the trope I've seen written(to be oxymoronic).

I just stumbled on to this series and I read the whole thing in 2 days! Amazing work and I hope that you are planning on continuing with this work! I'm looking forward to reading more :)

I was wondering if you could let me know what books you used...the characters used are awesome and I would love to read the books for them. Thanks!
Comments from author:
Joe and most of his team, Gault, and Gault's girlfriend Eris are from the Joe Ledger Series by Jonathan Maberry in this one. Phantom, Muggsy, Boyer, Ballantine, and the rest of the military personnel are my creations (Ballantine's name is cribbed from the movie version of Gunga Din). Regan MacNeil and a lot of this version of Pazuzu are from the Exorcist by William Peter Blatty. Dutch is from Predator and Harrigan is from Predator 2.

Another great story. I liked how this one was long and kinda complicated. It tickled me how Giles and the other woman kept the demon talking for hours before the fight started.
Thanks for sharing.

Inanna is a goddess of war, but also of passion and fertility - and she favors Buffy and Faith. Does this mean that they're both going to get pregnant in the next story ?

Seriously, this was a great story, and a worthy addition to the series.

That was very fun. I quite liked the ending chapters of this story. was a tiny bit confused at times because of all the action and the fact that i don't know all of the characters you've added to this story but none the less it was a good and fun addition to your slayers in the military series. keep up the good work my friend.
