I know nothing about the tv show, but this story touched me deeply and made me feel... many competing emotions, more than once. Very unexpected. I have to go take a little recovery break now. Thank you for writing.

thoughtful, a bit difficult at times, but very well done. you did a wonderful job creating a woman who will fight the label of victim, and showing appreciation for what the team does. (and i really like the dog).
well done.

I think the happy ending was my favorite part. But it was an altogether great story, even though I've yet to familiarize myself with Criminal Minds, and was easy to follow and very well-written

I like this a lot no love it. Please update with a sequel. This touches the heart of the matter with so much. We often forget how hard our law enforcement officers work. This shows it is a very good way. Thanks, Fire

I really enjoyed this story, even though I normally only enjoy reading xovers. The addition of the romantic element made my eyes roll, but I'm glad it was a gradual progression.

You didn't mark this as a non-crossover -- is Amanda the Amanda from Sunnydale who became a slayer?
EDIT: The icon is there, but some of us are still used to looking for the text label that says Non-crossover. Unless its there in the genre/sub-genre header we assume it is going to be a crossover.

I double-checked, and it is showing as a non-crossover in the listing. Sorry for any confusion.

But shouldn't this story be categorized under "BtVS/AtS Non-Crossover"? I kept thinking Amanda is the same Amanda as in Buffy Season 7.
But Kudos on a great story.

Don't know what to tell you. It's got the icon with Buffy crossed out and it says "non-crossover" when you mouse over. I checked the story details, and it's marked as a non-crossover. I've added a notice to the story synopsis for good measure.

Amanda is an inspiration. She isn't perfect, but manages to deal with her very understandable limitations (like with the dog). I was a little thrown by the romance at the end, but only because you had suggested a sibling relationship between them earlier. Either is fine with me.
