While I enjoy this series the transcript style of this chapter is off putting so I hope it's used sparingly. Regardless I am intrigued to read about Luke and Buffy's first meeting and how their relationship formed. I did find the dream an interesting and disturbing, for Buffy at least, concept, but I think it's understandable and it's a good sign that Buffy instigated this session with Kate.

The transcripts most likely will be few and far between (right now I have one at the beginning, one in the middle and one near the end planned). The sessions are more to do with Buffy's past and while she will also be dealing with it through the main story. I wanted to keep Buffy dealing with her Sunnydale life and her new life separate.

The heart of the story will actually start in the first chapter.

I like that you mentioned how to her it wasn't really 'just in her mind' but part of a whole different universe. Part of that is because she recognizes that the other place mattered more than this one for a short time there was a time where that was everything. She learned lessons there, experienced things that should only be possible in the real world.

You're completely right Whether Sunnydale was real or not is irrelevant in some respects. It was real to Buffy. She became the person she is because of that. Yes, she does miss her friends and she does feel weak not being The Chosen One, but that life taught her so much. Buffy can't ever dismiss it, not like Joyce and Hank want her to.

Re Kate: I don't think they'll be much expanded beyond the transcripts, but I've been toying with a companion with Kate which may answer your question. I really couldn't resist the comments about the aliens.
