Certainly ain't boring!

This has made me laugh with all the differences from canon, I love the fact that instead of Fred being possessed and lost Dru and Miss Edith were possessed and stayed along with Illyria in one body. The phone conversations are also different from any/most I've seen before and much more real from an outsiders perspective.

yeah, usually those type are written from the "how can we freak out the readers" thing, "how to make it sound funny" or just from the "we wrote both, then deleted one side of it".


I tried to do it with all three :P

I thank you kindly for the most recent chapters, and I hope to see Angelus run into Harry and jack in the near future... preferably with Xander eating popcorn with Dawn while Buffy and Cordelia do the 'But he can be saved' lament to deaf ears all around.

Loved the winter events hitting Hell, but I'm wondering who the other parties were besides Jack and Harry... And if they had acquaintance with Xander as well?

oddly enough, my background for fanfiction being Harry Potter, I still pause when I see 'Harry'. It's why the title is 'Xander, Jack, Maybourne' and not 'Xander, Jack, Harry', even though that one is all first names. unfortunately, I just dont ever do it the other way around for HP - if I put potter, I'm sure enough putting 'verse' tacked onto the end and talking about that franchise or whatever, rather than Harry Potter in particular.

Buffy would be, Cordelia wouldn't take much convincing.

Only in growing distance,... if that made sense. all connected to together in a chain of 'If these two agree, then next so and so will on something too.' so the chances of Xander knowing the last lot are slim to none, versus probable for whatever pair was referenced when Jack and Maybourne agreed and realised they agreed. (key point: they both realise they agree on something and are freaked out by that, followed by saying the same things together in that way that fiction likes to call 'twin speak'.)

Glad that this lead to some Au-ey goodness in regards to the Adam part of the story. I'd like the story better, if you actually wrote more of it out instead of outlining it.

yeah, its just how most of the stories that I write come to me as. I get an idea, then jump to one part, and jump around the timeline, adding details. By the time I've got enough details at the start to do a decent chapter one or two, I've already got enough in places for a chapter ten, thirty five, and so on for even a sequel if I break it down into such segments.

Cool.

So to speak. ;-)

A girl could almost feel sorry for the poor schmo's in Hell.

in one of them. the others felt a dip in temperature, but that hell is the one susceptible to such magic. you know, someone says "Hell would freeze over if we ever agree" and bang, it's a magical promise and that hell dimension, 'closer' than most, is the one that gets the brunt of such magic when they do agree on something. only it was a bit different, in that someone added, "Next you'll be saying that so and so will agree on something" and they get told similar and so on... (hence the 90-100 odd people in the 45-50 groupings that normally never agree agreeing one after another making that hell feel a bigger and bigger chill.)



Makes sense, in a really really Xander-ish way.

Very, very interesting story, great story so far. Its a lot of fun. It looks really promising and fun. Keep up the good work, hope to see more!

yyeah, I'll probably drop off from writing it at some point, but 4 chapters so far today :P

I find it difficult to get into the flow of the one sided phone conversations-but once I'm in the flow it's a great story. You've chosen a very unique way of writing and it's turning out very interesting.
