Review of chapter "apocalypse updates in your inbox" from JJDudeman
Excellent. I really wish there'd have been more with Kate in the show and/or on this site. Alas, no love for Kate or Oz, it seems.
The thing that brings this all together is her & Korsek's (I dunno how to spell it) interaction and relief to find someone else willing to play ball.

One thing to note: Dr. Isles would not allow this to go on without interjecting. Her absence was noticeable, but probably for the best!

And I've written both a Kate and an Oz fic (don't forget Gunn and Kendra in the group - they get a surprisingly small amount of fandom love as well)! But I rather love background characters and actually have this weird thing where I almost always hate the main character of shows instead. Obscurity is my jam. *laughs*

Your absolutely right about Dr. Isles though, I mention her in passing in the beginning but that was it. She -would- be at the meeting though. Rawr - maybe she was fascinated by the exchange? The new information. *shrug* Oversite on my part. I was too concentrated on the people I wanted Kate to interact with.

Thanks for the feedback!

Oh, I loved this! I love Rizzoli & Isles. I love the main title characters, but half the reason I love the show is that it has such an interesting, diverse cast. Korsak is a wonderful character, funny and kind. I really like that he's who you had have a connection to the Council.

I liked Kate as a character, and think she's someone who could be in a lot of crossovers in different ways, as hunter, a supporting member of the Council, a cop, a FBI agent, a P.I., etc.

I think you did a great job with her voice. It's very funny, self-aware of herself and what's going on, how she may want distance, but she can't run from the end of the world, which may be the only thing that will make her talk about all of this, since she'd rather forget.

I think it would be incredibly hard to know a little bit about something, to know it's real, but have no clue what's really going on. The family members of slayers, Kate, people who are in the know, but aren’t the Scoobies and their supporting people, the Fang Gang, or others like them who are involved in hunting or magic, must be so afraid when they get those emails, for their loved ones, and themselves. Plus they probably doubt their sanity.

That isn't their life, they don't have a frame of reference for it, and any sane person would freak out about the end of the world. There should probably be a 'Slayers, Witches, Watchers, and everyone else, *whatever Xander is*, who needs to know' update list, and 'people we want to warn but not freak out' update list.

"No weapons, spells, or prophecies allowed to be mentioned."
"Then how are we supposed to say the world is ending?”
"I don't know, figure it out!"

I didn’t mean for this to get so long, sorry! Congrats on writing this sites first Rizzoli & Isles crossover! :) I love your stories, and I really enjoyed this. Good job!

Thanks so much (and sorry for the delay in response - real life is kicking my ass right now).

And I know what you mean, usually I gravitate towards the background characters of any show but Rizzoli & Isles is one where I have major love for the relationship between the two main characters. They are just so very fun in their interplay and the way they poke at each others' flaws with such obvious love. Thats not to say though that I don't like the rest of the cast - as you say, they really have an interesting group (Korsak being my favorite as seen in this fic :) ).

I'm very glad too that Kate seemed in character to you. She is one of those that I'm surprised isn't used more in fics on the site because - I agree with you - she could be put into alot of other fandoms on tv today and with her background you could twist it in very interesing ways.

As for knowing just a little about upcoming world ending events (*snort*- now isn't that a phrase) without being able to contribute, I always thought that would be incredibly hard - especially if you were emotionally invested. Your idea of having seperate update lists would probably be a good idea but I doubt that when it got down to the wire there would be much time to be careful to be specific in warnings for each particular group so as to keep them up to date but not freak them out.

Ah, the real life logistics of coordinating world-wide apocolypse defense. Makes for interesting brain teasers.

And don't ever worry about going long. I greatly apreciate all feedback - I have often in the past gone way long (over double original comment length) in my response when I get lost in a tangent. I just thank you so much for reading my stories and your lovely words.

You should really consider making a sequel. It's a very interesting and new plot, may be worth a little more of your time. =D
Comments from author:
Thank ya - I have no plans to at the moment but I actually might at some point. It seems these little fics, even the bizzare FFA's I write on a whim, tend to stick in my head. I'm actually currently writing a sequel of sorts to a bit that I original posted almost a year ago now because the lines for it where running through my head incessantly. If that starts happening for this Kate one at some point I'll be sure to type them down - and be delighted that I'll have at least one reader for it. *laughs*

Thanks so much, Luhh.

HA! I can just imagine! "Apocalypse averted! Party at Xander's place! Demons bring their on Kittens!"
Comments from author:
I really think that being on that sort of mailing list where you're getting alerts but don't ever really know the full story would be incredibly stressful. Where you're on the very edge of being in the loop, but aren't really.

Thanks so much for taking the time to review, Luhh. I really appreciate it. :)

Then I say "yay!" right back at yah zephyrRS! I'm delighted you like it. :) It's nice to play with different characters that aren't as explored as much. Thanks for reviewing!

A Rizzoli&Isles crossover - great idea! And having Kate there even better, altough I don't like her much!

Thank you,
Comments from author:
I didn't really feel much towards Kate either way when I first watched Angel but I enjoyed poking at her character and trying to expand and explore her more when transporting her to a different local in the Rizzoli & Isle universe. And some people might try to bash it, but I find that 'verse alot of fun too - I have so much love for Korsak and Frost (my background character appreciation bug bites again *laughs*).

Thanks for reviewing, RandomSelection.
