Review of chapter "The tail gunner's tale" from Senko
Review:
Too many connections, I read this sweet little story and all I can think about is how that waitress with the sad eyes is going to tie into your other stories. Either as another relative or victim of one of the villains.
Comments from author:
Heh. I had to re-read the story to pick that one up. She is not related to anybody, just remembers the family form happier, pre-divorce days. Though now you mention it, I can have the entire clientele of that diner killed...

thanks for reviewing

Review of chapter "The tail gunner's tale" from (Past Donor)James
Review:
Okay, really nice Hank takes some getting used to.

More soon please, after the next chapter, of course.

James
Comments from author:
Still deluded and somewhat silly though. He'll hopefully learn. (Hank was 'downgraded' beacuse the actor was too expensive...)

Review:
Very heartwarming weekend for all three!! And to cap it off, the Ice Capades!!!! (I'm a big fan of figure skating!)
Comments from author:
Yes, a very good one. Buffy's a big fan as well. Dawn likes it well enough, but prefers the ballet.

Thanks for reviewing.

Review of chapter "The tail gunner's tale" from RebeccaAshling
Review:
That was nice :) Hank is still a bit of an idiot but he is trying to climb out of his pit of stupidity. Props to him for that. An interesting hint of Buffy's pre-Sunnydale routine and horseriding. If Buffy were to be paired with Tara it's something they could bond over (Tara rides). Thomas Summers' narrow escape is very nearly incredible but more improbable things have happened, especially in wartime. Gonna track this :)
Comments from author:
Thank you. Hank is indeed doing his best. It may take some time. The background was all devised by Letomo. Several instances of narrow shaves like the one described actually happened.

Review of chapter "The tail gunner's tale" from Shadowman
Review:
This Hank is turning out not to be to bad. He may get their full respect back if he can stay on the right path.
I would think though that if he stays involved enough in their lives he would eventually learn the whole truth about their lives, and wouldn't that be an interesting surprise for him.
Keep up the good work and stories.
Comments from author:
Hank will need to work at it, but they did love him for most of their lives. And if he does learn, he's going to be very upset...

Review of chapter "The tail gunner's tale" from PATM
Review:
I see my choice of Hank is bearing rewards for me. The family patterns of normalcy was strong stuff and well told. I read a similar story in a history book about the flying tale escapade. I'm glad to see that there are more chapters to read in the chapter.
Comments from author:
This is still medium Hank. He still makes mistakes, or will make them. But part of his head has been removed from his rectal cavity... There are going to be more chapters, most of them involving Hank's dealings with his daughters.

Review of chapter "The tail gunner's tale" from Eureka
Review:
So who was the secretary who said that Hank didn't have any kids?
At least he is now trying to be there for his kids even if he did have to be soundly reminded that his kids love him for himself NOT his money or position.
Comments from author:
Who was she indeed? Hank has issues, and some have to do with the fact that Joyce has now landed a man who's as near as possible to the top of the heap.

Review of chapter "The tail gunner's tale" from CPTSkip
Review:
Excellent "Hank" story. I know in canon he turned into an SOB, but he must have been a good father before the divorce because both his daughters turned out well.
Comments from author:
Buffy loved him dearly as shown in Nightmares, and he bought her lots of shoes and apparently did his best over the summer holiday. Probably something to do with casting...

Review:
Well, given the take you went with Hank, I now have to wonder about the "secretary" who *claimed* not to know about the children...

It sounds like they've had a nice trip. And I like that Hank's family helped talk some sense into him.
Comments from author:
Well, it might indeed have been a temp who didn't know. Or it may have been aconniving little minx who wanted her claws in a partner without the burden of his children...

Review of chapter "The tail gunner's tale" from (Current Donor)Cordyfan
Review:
Nice chapter and good to see Hank's coming around, though not quite enough squirming and apologising for my tastes (and he still owes Buffy more than an ice show for referring to her as a freak). I look forward to the next one.

Thanks for writing this.
Comments from author:
Hank will need to do a lot of work, but it's early days yet, Rome was not build in a day and neither is forgiveness. And yes, there need to be a few conversations and more than a few apologies...

Review of chapter "The tail gunner's tale" from EllandrahSylver
Review:
It's nice to see Hank getting over his pride and paranoia and taking the opportunity to do things he knows his daughters will enjoy without going overboard. It reminded the girls that they have something normal outside Sunnydale.
Comments from author:
Yes, though he is not quite as certain in their love for him as he should be, and has not yet completely learned his lesson, it's a good beginning.

Review of chapter "The tail gunner's tale" from Meneldur
Review:
Very good. Nothing too fancy, no trying to make up for what he did with grand gestures. Just regular father-daughter bonding, a family atmosphere, and love. It's good to see Hank knows what he's doing. This was very calming, very enjoyable, especially compared to the madcap energy of their usual life.
Comments from author:
A great deal of that is thanks to Letomo, who wrote a large part of it. Had it just been me, there probably would have been a lot more angst. ;-)
