Review of chapter "Recuperations" from (Current Donor)Ironbear
"to go and get hired by some rich lord in order to become rich themselves"

Egads. Becoming gainfully employed and seeking wealth. How, how... evil. And dastardly. Oh, the horror!

Okay, so the comment to Angel on how she could fix his problem with the soul, the curse, and the Buffy infatuation was a bit cold blooded. Eminently practical, though.

I like seeing Cordelia becoming more and more human, and less of a bitca. And, naturally, I like seeing the signs of her attitude toward Xander thawing, and her standing up for him.

Good story. I'm finding it a bit harder and longer of a slog than I should, probably. Not because of the story - it's eminently readable so far - but because I kind of got burned out on straight fantasy and sword and sorcery a long time ago. It's taking me more effort than I anticipated to get back into the mind set for enjoying a good, old fashioned Sword and Sandals tale rather than the urban fantasy and sci-fi that I usually read these days.

I'll plug at it along, though. ;)

Sword and Sandals is differant than what this is -This is Medieval High Fantasy

Review of chapter "Dead Night" from (Current Donor)Ironbear
"Fafhrd? Grey Mouser? Don't know either of those names."

Not a Fritz Leiber fan, then? A pity - good stuff, and he was one of the seminal influences on the whole Sword and Sorcery genre.

ETA: Well then, that's what Wikipedia. Project Gutenberg, and Usenet exist for. ;]p~

Never heard of Fritz Leiber either :P

Review of chapter "Dead Night" from (Current Donor)Ironbear
"And one of these poor, unfortunate souls who had only death and damnation awaiting them was a young man. A young man known as Jesse McNally."

In a lot of ways, it's a pity that you went the stations of the canon route here. Given the medieval setting and AU fantasy nature of the story and milieu, it could have been fun to see Jesse playing Fafhrd to Xander's Grey Mouser in this story. :)

Ah well, such is life and death in Sunnydale. It just seems that poor Jesse is doomed no matter what happens.

(And yes, yes, I am finally getting back to reading this. Stuff, ah, kept getting in the way. Been a busy couple of weeks.)

Fafhrd? Grey Mouser? Don't know either of those names.

Glad you're back to reading it :)

Review of chapter "The Battle of the Red Moon, Part II" from (Past Donor)lucidity
This was great - loved it! You are a fabo writer - characters, plot, and all!

What happens next?
Comments from author:
In a while - somewhere between a few months and a year - I'll start the next fic in the series, and I suppose we'll see.

Review of chapter "Wait, This Chapter Doesn't End in '-tions'?" from Gscdine
Yippeeee Wesley (and Lilah yay). Just dropping a note even though I do not have anything intelligent to say yet as I rarely am able to form a coherent opinion before reading and digest the entire story.
This is the only Universe(Buffy/Atvs) I read. Your fics are the only ones that I have been able to follow “live” as I came only into this Universe 1 year back. Thank you so very much.
Loving your fic and getting more and more hooked to it and itching to check for updates several times a month.
Please take this not very useful review as a support for you to continue writing as I can’t wait to see what happens and hope that this will not be like some of the other wonderful works who have gone into permanent WIP.

Have been following you for the past month plus but only managed to register an account to leave reviews just before I had to go away for a while. Have wanted to let you know you have a fan here. Love your other series as well. Any support you need/want, say the word, would gladly try to back efforts to keep your AUs going.

And the maestro continues. Thanks for this, now on to other matters - As you've requested I won't link to youtube, which I do so as to give a tangible (well really audible) thanks that in my mind is better than just giving figurative cookies or some other completely easy and trivial gesture.

Review of chapter "Sineya's Response" from AbscondingCascade
This continues to be fantastic, I have a link for you that you might find useful when doing the background of your little AU. It's about medieval Demographics -

Now in thanks -

Kindly don't assume I have no idea what I'm talking about.

Glad you liked it. Thanks for the review, but please stop giving me youtube links.

Cool story. Interesting how you weaved in all the aspects of Buffy and its characters.

Indeed. That is part of the idea. Thanks for the review! Glad you liked it.

Review of chapter "Sineya's Response" from MarcusSLazarus
So... we have multiple Slayers with Angel selected to train them due to Angelus's experience?

Well, at least that probably means there won't be a clause in the curse if they did it to get his help rather than to punish him...

Should be interesting to see how the rest of the Order react to his 'defection', anyway; keep up the good work!

(I'm guessing 'the woman' is Lilah?)
Comments from author:
Yes indeed, it is. Not really that hard to guess, I admit. :)

Thanks for the review! Glad you liked it.

Review of chapter "Vampiric Stirrings" from AbscondingCascade
Interesting, this AU continues to fascinate me. I do have one point to raise though, is Xander drinking something non-alcoholic in the tavern? As with his parents being the town drunks I think he'd be put off alcohol. Anyway in thanks for this -
Comments from author:
Drink what? In the medieval era, it isn't like the water was potable.

Thanks for the review!

Review of chapter "Vampiric Stirrings" from MarcusSLazarus
As with the last chapter, the new histories of the characters continue to intrigue while remaining recogniseable as the characters we knew originally; all that remains to be answered is what Angel and Buffy are like in this world (Although I also have some suspicions about the Mayor)...

Just one minor question; is the maid that was just fired meant to be anyone from canon in particular, or just a maid?
Comments from author:
That maid was just a maid. I was having trouble figuring how to fit Cordelia directly into the narrative of this chapter (I toyed with several ideas I just couldn't make work) so eventually I decided to just have her feature more indirectly, as that was what I could make fit into the narrative.

Angel and Buffy (and Faith too, actually) will feature in the next chapter.

And I'm glad you caught the tiny mention of the Mayor. He won't be important much in this fic, and his ultimate plans are altered compared to how they were in the Show, but he will show up in the second fic I have planned.

Thank for the review, I'm very glad you liked it.

Review of chapter "Astrological Signs" from MarcusSLazarus
Unique idea, I'll give you that for thing.

So... if we've got Giles and Wesley talking about the 'Daughters of Sineya' in the plural form, does that mean that there's more than one Slayer active, or is it just a gathering of Potentials while THE Slayer serves as the 'high priestess' or equivalent?

Keep up the good work; with the potential for Angel to appear soon- Darla and the Order of Aurelius; Angel/Angelus HAS to be involved somehow-, I am REALLY looking forward to seeing how other characters are changed by this new world...
Comments from author:
Yes, there is more than one Slayer.

Angel will probably show up, if things pan out as I have planned, in chapter 3.

Glad you liked it, and thanks for the review. Means a lot.
