Review of chapter "freckles" from (Recent Donor)DeepBlueJoy
Review:
Well, now... that's a thing! that's one hell of a thing... and you really should create a long form story to continue this tail, umm, tale of two ships caught in a storm... too strangers not quite passing in the night... It has sweetness and soul... and more-ishness...

Blue who loves to read your words...
Comments from author:
Woo! Look at me responding Blue. It might be weird for me to say but I rather love the little relationship I've created for the two of them. It's oddly unique in my mind - and that just might be in comparision to others I've written - but there is a distinct delicatness to it that I like and respond to myself.

Thanks again so much for reading my fics and writing feedback - you know how much I appreciate your words as well.

P.S. Sending you lots of giant octopus hugs and wishing you luck on on your exam.

P.S.S. I made lemon tea cakes today. Might have had an awful previous night and had to be drugged for my joint pain while I did it but - I made lemon tea cakes. And they were good. I view that as a win. Heh.

Review of chapter "freckles" from alynambered
Review:
Okay, THAT I didn't see coming!!

Kids???

A very convincing continuation of this series, I like a lot.

*EDIT* I knew they weren't planning/having children. I was referring to any of a possible plethora of potentially problematic perusings of which offspring played no part. Heh!
Comments from author:
Just to clarify, they aren't having babies right now or anything. They are only talking about children in the genreal sense - and about the people they have talked about having children with before. If anything, at the end of this I wanted to convey their deep respect for each other and that they were on the same page with each other - that the other was now the person that if they were to have kids with anyone it would be with each other. Not that they are having kids now - they both have beyond crazy jobs they don't want to give up, but that they have that level of closeness.

Did I make any sense? I feel like I might have mudled things by trying to unecarily explain them. Oh, bah.

*sigh* Anyways, I thank you ever so much for your kind words alynambered. I take great pride in the fact that you found it convincing - I try to keep them feeling as natural as possible. Thanks so much for taking the time to review! :)

*EDIT* Alliteration ahoy! *dances* He he! I am unnaturally fond of word-play. Sorry for over-explaining when you already understood, alynambered. And thanks again for the feedback.

Review of chapter "freckles" from (Past Donor)zephyrRS
Review:
I adore this series. I'm wondering if their spell will be broken by him promotion to DC or earlier.
Comments from author:
I feel rather bad about repeating myself in a response to your lovely comment zephyrRS, but I hope you don't mind terribly if I just quote what I said in an earlier response to VillageOrchid that rather summed up my feelings on this:

"Quite honestly, there are many ways and circumstances that they could find out about each other (especially if they were trying). I have read many fics where on the Scooby side runs across the Stargate world through hacking, the Council's old contacts, or Riley. I haven't specifically placed Jack in the Stargate timeline - partially because large parts of the Stargate-verse run together for me - but mostly because that isn't the part that I wanted to focus on. This was never really about their work, it was the way there characters found comfort away from that. Now I acknowledge that might seem odd to some but I also think that there would still be the possibility as well that even after he became a General and had higher clearence there might be some things he wouldn't be privy to."

That rather sums it up and I hope you didn't mind the length. Thanks so much for taking the time to review, I appreciate the feedback.

Review of chapter "freckles" from RivanWarrioress
Review:
That was so lovely and sweet. I hope you add more to this series, i think you've written Jack and Willow so well, both in this story and in the other story in this series, esepcailly with the whole thing were they can't talk about what they actually do. Well done.

R.W.
Comments from author:
Aww, RivanWarrioress thanks ever so much. One of the reasons I try not to push this series at all (and the reasons there is such a gap in between this bit and the last) is that I didn't write until something came that felt very natural to -them- for me. I realize I've set a very particular tone with this relationship and I feel an odd responsibility to not mess it up. *laughs*

Thanks so much for reviewing. :)

Review:
Wow, that was really sweet and sort of sad and sort of hopeful. Jack and Willow really do go well together.
Comments from author:
I'm so glad you thinks so, too. I've become awful fond of their relationship. And I think sweet, sad, and hopeful describes them wonderfully as a couple (how they interact) as well.

Thanks so much for reviewing, SlowMercury.

Hope you do more with this. Thanks for continuing!
Comments from author:
I haven't decided solidly if I'll do more. There were a lot of months bettween the first bit before my brain popped this one out. I'm open to more but I just don't know when/if there will be. *laughs*

Thanks so much for your continued reviews, VillageOrchid.

Review of chapter "freckles" from Gideon
Review:
Terrific. I had wondered what they talked about, if they couldn't talk about their work. I guess other topics are not easy either, huh?
Comments from author:
Yup, one thing I really like to play with in this set up - the whole understanding that boths jobs are secret and not pushing - is having it be about them and their relationship instead. And honestly, Jack and Willow have baggage. *laughs*

In the last story I basically had them meeting up at the cabin whenever there down-time matched up (with lots of movie-quote e-mails in between). So here I wanted to show the ability for depth in their relationship despite it's sporadic and often light nature and also give a sort of working example of how their respect for each other worked.

Now, I don't know how effective I was in portraying any of that. *laughs* But I'm just glad you liked it, Gideon. And I thank you for reviewing.
