Review:
I do so love this story and I really wish you would come back to it. Is there anything I can say or do to inspire and enthrall you into writing and posting the next chapter. This wonderfull story needs to be told and completed. though at least she is back with Finrod again.

Review of chapter "Rebellion" from Decemberist
Review:
I've just been missing this story lately and had to go back and re-read the whole thing! I hope your muse strikes you sometime soon... enough to post a new chapter to this wonderful tale :) I love all the little bits of Arda's history that you're able to incorporate without confusing or overwhelming the plot - I can't wait to find out where Finrod's been and how he met up with Aragorn, how Aragorn reacted to meeting him and how Finrod's going to react to Buffy's encounters with pirate slavers and his cousin, Maglor. For that matter, I want to know how Buffy's going to deal with everything that's happened to her since she was shipwrecked! After fifteen years of peace in Valinor, Umbar was definitely a cold, hard dose of harsh reality.

And if nothing else,
I absolutely,
positively,
*need* to know what happened to Dorothy and Alaco! Because I can totally see them hooking up with Shadowfax at some point and being like, "Bitch, please. We're from Valinor."

Do mearas live that long??

Review of chapter "Rebellion" from Calypso
Review:
I loved reading this story. I'm new to Buffy/LoTR crossovers, and this is one of favourite stories to read. Buffy starting a new loving relationship with an impressive elf lord? What's not to like about that?! Besides, she's keeping true to form with the age of her loves, isn't she? Hahaha!

I am soooo glad that you at least "ended" the last chapter where they are reunited, because let me tell you it would have killed me if you just left it hanging. And it made me curious what Finrod's thoughts were when he saw her again, plus don't they have some kind if connection with each other? I wonder if he has an idea about what made her uneasy. Sheesh, do you ever want to piss off this particular elf? Oohh, I think not. Though, I confess I'm not very familiar with his history beside what you used for the story.

I'm curious to find out what her first impression will be about orcs and how they'll measure up against her own hellmouth vampire cockroaches. I realize of course that this event is still a ways off. :)

Thanks for sharing this story. I enjoyed reading it. Merry Christmas (if you celebrate it) to you and your loved ones. Take care x

Review of chapter "15 Years Later" from Callista
Review:
Hi,

I'm rereading this story, because it is just so amazing, and with the second Hobbit movie coming up, I'm immersing myself again into the LotR universe. Reading 'Darkest' for a second time doesn't diminish it in the least, on the contrary. I forgot how great it was! I love the characters, the rich background you managed to incorporate, and, of course, Buffy.

I did notice a small mistake in this chapter: 'Her husband Elrond was the Lord of Imladris, where he resided with their twin sons Elrond and Elladan and their daughter Arwen.' This should probably be: their twin sons Elrohir and Elladan...

I really hope you'll update soon!

Hi Callista!

Thank you for the note! I'll make that change :)

And thank you so much for rereading and commenting again! You are a doll!

With the Hobbit coming up I've been wanting to start writing again - I just have to get through finals first! This is definitely one of my favorite stories and I miss the LOTRverse!

I can't believe it took me this long to get back to this fandom. O.O Oh no!

I'm glad to see the lovers reunited, and to realize that they are not so far before the War of the Ring. Also the growth of Buffy.

And holy cannoli, Batman! I need more of this, please! Truly! C'mon, Luna. Please? I'm not above begging. Waiting for more!

Review of chapter "Death is Her Gift" from Selonianth
Review:
Yes, her decision was made but Buffy stopped herself from leaving unheard. Looking into Namo's eyes the slayer spoke again, "It is fitting that the lord of death is so ignorant to life. You hate me for taking her place but allow me to give you a bit of insight into who I am. From the day I was born till the day I turned fifteen I was exactly the person who might have allowed her sister to jump, even knowing she would almost certainly die. Then a day came and I was handed power and told to fight. On that day the girl you relied on died," Buffy paused, the slayer spirit flowing under her skin like it hadn't in fifteen years, it's power reminding her. "I am not sorry I jumped. I do not, nor will I ever be sorry for depriving you of Minuialwen's arrival because watching my sister, and she is and always will be my sister no matter what anyone says, jump would have destroyed me. Ask your sister, she's the only one here who seems to even care about those of us who comprehends how... wrong the afterlife in this world is and even she does nothing because it is how Eru designed it. My name is Buffy Anne Summers and I don't give a damn how Eru designed it." There was an audible gasp from the Valar in the room.

"Send a message to my world's version they'll tell you the same thing I am about to, Buffy Summers doesn't do what she is told. She fights, defies, shatters plans, and breaks rules. She defiles tradition and spits on fate. She's defied death itself and slew a god. Now she's in your world. I'll go, I'll help Arda. Not because you, Manwe, or Eru himself demands it of me. You could threaten to rip my soul... my fëa, apart and all it would earn you is spit on your face as you did it. No weapons... no friends... no hope. Take all that away and what's left? Me. I saved my world so many times it's hard to keep track sometimes, hell your wife knows that if she paid half an ounce of attention to my tapestry as she weaved it. I will help Arda because help is something they need and you won't. I don't need the grace of the eldar to be immortal because a Slayer lives on, our spirit lingers in the blood and bone and soul of all Slayers left to come."

Little did any in the room know, even long after the angered Slayer had departed the shores of Valinor but as she quaked with rage and righteous fury the essence of Sineya had latched onto her with all the power it had. It fused into Buffy's very soul and transformed her. She left that room not a slayer but the embodiment of protection. Slowly she would find herself healing faster, being stronger, and growing faster but thought little of it, till a troll skewered her through the heart on a hunt long after the defeat of Sauron. Instead of finding herself back in Namo's presence she coughed up blood and looked down at the hole in her chest, stunned as it healed perfectly, leaving not even a scar.
