Nicely done. I think Buffy would fit in well in this unverese as a Bodyguard.

Especially if any of the dangers happen to be demonic.

This is beautiful and unexpected. When I saw you'd chosen the bodyguard, I felt for sure that you'd chosen 'I will always love you', but you surprised me as usual and I do love the song you chose.
I also can totally believe Buffy and Frank as father and daughter. That was a sweet touch.
Thank you.
Blue
EDIT: I may well have to spring this surprise in one of my stories... ;-P
Comments from author:
As much as I love that song - and it was the perfect ending song for the movie - I just thought using a different Whitney song would be more unique.
Wouldn't it be cool to have somebody *hint, hint* write a longer story where they are father/daughter?

So that's why she came running out of the plane. Great story.

It's that cool?

Huh, Buffy as Frank's daughter. That's a different one. Very interesting story.
Comments from author:
It's not as if I could have 'shipped them in that movie...not for a Whitney tribute story. That just left the other cliche of making them family members.

Nice tribute. Didn't pick the relationship as father/daughter. Well done!
Comments from author:
There are just some guys that I love to pair Buffy up with, either as a relative or as a romantic 'ship...sometimes both. Frank seemed like a great father figure and a good way to introduce Buffy to bodyguarding.

One of my all time favorite movies and one I don't see too often as a crossover, by the way congratulations I loved the Frank Buffy relationship...and yes it's a lovely tribute to Whitney, thank you
Comments from author:
I loved the movie too - despite it being rather sad - and between Whitney's death and the challenge, the story practically forced me to write it.

Wonderful! & I love that you did a story for Whitney...I loved her. And Buffy/Frank as father & daughter? AWESOME.
Comments from author:
I got such a kick out of making a Three's Company scenario (and yes, I realize that dates me) by making Whitney's character misunderstand Buffy and Frank's relationship.

I knew you would come up with something fabulous. I truly loved it. It was a great way to honor Whitney Houston (in my eyes), and the song choice was apropos. Major props, yo!
Comments from author:
Figured you wouldn't mind the song change as long as I used a different Whitney song.

Delightful and humorous!!!
Comments from author:
Thanks. I thought it would be funny for Rachel to be jealous of Frank's feelings for Buffy, not knowing his fondness was parental instead of romantic.

Nicely done. Both the movie's ending and Whitney's passing are putting me in a somber mood right now. But at least your story has a potential for a happy ending. Dang, what a waste of some much talent.
Comments from author:
It *is* such a bummer when somebody as talented as Whitney has such a painful personal life. It's nice when we can remember and honor the talent.

Aww, that was bittersweet, just like I remember the ending of the movie being. Good job!
Comments from author:
I was looking through some of Whitney's older stuff, searching for the right song to include for the challenge. When I found 'Where Do Broken...', that seemed perfect for this moment in Rachel's life.
