Huh, Xander's first kill... do we have any background story on the people he kill? why the whole sacrifice ritual thingy? were they normals? or did they belong to a group? how did they find Marcie anyway? or is the detail unimportant?

ok, so far Xander's assets include:
- marcie (PA/ assassin in training)
- Cordelia (spy master in training) - is he going to be training cordelia/cordettes like he trained marcie?
- a 'herbshop'/ herbalist/ magic shop-to-be?

wonder what other 'assets' xander's going to collect.
oh, we still yet to see Xander utilizing seals (i seems to remember you made your naruta into a seal-user/master).

Important question: are you going to follow canon storyline? i mean, in buffy canon, Ford is going to stop by, then Eyghon, then the Judge (plus the whole Angelus thingy)...interesting to see how Xander going to react to these events...

I'm not sure if im going to add a background for them. I like to leave openings in my stories so i can use them later if i need to, but it could just be a random attack as well and unimportant.

I'm going to skip around the buffyverse in order to get this story done the way i want it. I'm not sure what im going to do about angel though. I should kill him off...buuuutttt I could also find a way to get his soul to stick. ;)

I had skipped over this story before because I didn't recognize the cross. But you make it easy to pick up what is going on with the character that Xander crossed with because of his costume, and the story is very engaging.

Kurenai is, in her own words, interested in furthering the art of Genjutsu. She's devotedly protective of her squad, notorious for her dislike of perverts, and a confident, competent Jounin ninja of Konoha. It pretty much takes the thoroughly broken uber-genjutsu of a full blown Mangenkyo Pink-eye Infection (AKA Sharingan) to overcome her expertise in illusion.

Jenny Carpenter (AKA Janna Kalderash) is a techno-pagan and a not-very-appreciated member of the Kalderash Gypsy clan. Asuide from being a hottie and a computer sciences teacher, she's in Sunnydale to watch over and preserve the misery of one Angel of the Aurelius line, previously Angelus of the Scourge of Europe.

As she's just heretical enough they don't like her, the elders of the clan haven't told her what will break the curse. Canonically, she manages to fall for Giles, but gets spurned (likely due to his own guilt over things like Eyghon and the Cruciamentum) when her secret is revealed.

She's not crazy enough to match the style of, say, Anko. (If Drusilla ever gets her soul back, however..)

Truthfully, I havent really tried to make anymore parallels between the characters. I mostly think about things as I write it. I see Tara as Hinata though and Cordelia could work as Ino. I would say Harmony, but Ino was way too smart and I respect her too much for that.
I would choose an older lady for Ms. Calender. Probably Kurenai, but Im still not sure about all of her personality traits. I'll look it up when the time comes.

Good job, the pace seems to be picking up. Not sure where your going but it's an interesting path your taking.

A well written and entertaining blend of characters with Xander trying to remain primarily Xander.

I know nothing about whoever Xander is supposed to be, but I find his changes and improvements interesting. I think it's kind of weird, but funny at the same time, that Xander is a now cheering. I think that it is disgusting the way Willow has no problem turning her back on Xander when it is convenient for her.

A cracking good fun twist.

That's new I don't think I've ever seen Xan as a cheer leader... I'm speechless.
