I liked this a lot. And aside from the eerily similar looking titles, it rocked. Seems very Xander-ish, although the part about Willow, not so much. I just can't see her as a dominatrix. At all.

Let's say she's only the dom when she's with Xander, then.

Through a mirror darkly the Slayer can see
What losers her former friends might turn out to be,
But she's got a guy on her side who's also her boss
Which should protect her from suffering any more loss.

Yup, Horatio will help distract her from any negative thoughts she has because of Willow and Xander.

At first, when I read 'Queen of Pain' I thought it might have been Faith. BUT RED!? THIS I have to see! If you can come up with a version of that photo, SEND IT TO ME! I have to see it!!!

That's was interesting. It's to bad that you didn't start from the beginning with Buffy leaving Sunnydale and meeting the CSI gang. I even wonder how Buffy and Caine ended up together. Is there a chance you'll be doing that or this is just the one time thing? Love your stories keep writing them.

Who knows, maybe. Musie loves the idea of Buffy/Horatio so convincing her to write more of them isn't impossible.

this was a cool fic. I could see Buffy leaving at being blamed like that for something that was completely Xander's fault because he thought being the hero was more important than saving the life. it's a very Xander thing to do and then blame someone else for a death that occurred because he was screwing around. That makes what, twice he ignored his commanding officer and hero? Wow.

I could see both of them in those roles, too, because this is exactly what they are, pretenders. Willow pretends to be Dominant and Xander is the biggest B*^& in the world. he needs someone to tell him what to do. A white knight . . . Court Jester is more like it.

Bravo, Mmooch. It is perfectly in character for them to become this and Buffy to become a success at something not supernatural if given a chance.

She might not have left solely because of that, but in addition to being kicked out by her mom and chased by the police (as far as she knew) for Kendra's murder...

Lol at the Court Jester comment; I may have to use that someday.
