Wow. I've been away from the site for awhile and only just discovered this fic. I didn't expect to like it.
I've never liked the squealing fangirl type and have never been the type of girl to crush on someone I've never actually met. (Okay, I've never really been the type to crush at all lol) The way that JKR wrote Ginny, there wasn't much for me to like or respect. Fiery (and sometimes unreasonable) temper like her mother's, quick to hex (and not gentle about it), the idiocy surrounding the whole Chamber of Secrets mess and ... oh yeah ... crush crush crush. Basically, I see her only redeeming characteristics as JKR wrote her to be a willingness to stand up for herself/others and loyalty to family. Obviously, I found the epilogue to the final book very unsatisfactory.
Canon Draco is much the same, even if the unlikeable qualities were different. Snob, bigot, whining prig with few redeeming qualities in the books. I like him as JKR wrote him even less than Ginny.
So, I started this fic thinking that I'd read the first chapter (or more likely abandon it about midway through the chapter). You started from "could have been canon" characterizations and developed these two characters and their relationship in a believable way. By the end, I could respect them as you've written them and (gasp!) almost like them. Bravo!
The rest of the Weasleys, HP and HG seem somewhat OOC but I've always been able to live with OOC in what amounts to peripheral characters so long as it supports the plot and is remotely plausible.
I guess what I'm saying is that you managed to successfully sell this storyline to a very unlikely buyer :)
Brilliant story, thank you for sharing it with us.

Review of chapter "Chapter Thirteen" from Keshkreature
Review:
So very sweet! I think I was hoping for a little more forgiveness from the rest of her family, but some things are just not meant to be. Sorry to see it end.

Review of chapter "Chapter Thirteen" from LindsayR
Review:
I really loved this story from beginning to end. I would have liked to see a final interaction or two between Ginny and her parents and the golden trio, perhaps in her shop or diagon alley. Maybe a sequel? Great job!

As her children get older, i.e. all are graduated, it's going to be harder for Molly to enforce any kind of 'no contact' order. She's taking a risk that she might end up isolated herself. Still--at this point the story is almost over unless something new happens, I'd think --Ginny is married, has her kid, has a family; if her parents/siblings don't want contact, that's their loss...

I have to admit, I've been avoiding this story because I'm not a huge fan of the D/G couple. However, I gave it a shot today and loved reading it. This is well written and quite enjoyable. I'm looking forward to more.
