Review of chapter "Chapter Twelve" from wswords
Review:
The Doctor is stupid (in a totally in character way).

Spoilers for anyone reading this who hasn't read the rest of the series yet:

The Doctor knew that he could change fixed points in time because he had already lived through Happy Endings, but he had lived through the seventh segment afterward as well. Meaning he knows he was written out of the universe multiple times trying to save Buffy. That means the point was fixed by something other than the higher powers. So the Doctor could (but probably wouldn't) realize that he couldn't change that point because every time he tried (and succeed) he was written out of the universe.

End spoilers

Anyway, the Doctor jumps to blaming himself despite having all the evidence he needs to show that it defiantly wasn't is totally in character, so it isn't bad writing or poor planing on your part that made him look stupid here, its his own martyr complex.

Short version: A character is making mistakes because of who they are, and not because the writer is incompetent, which is a nice change of pace from most times characters do something stupid.

Review:
You have an interesting way of telling the story from different viewpoints and timelines. Very good. Almost as good as the actual show. All that timey wimey wibbly wobbly stuff. How many times have you watched "Blink"?

I'd like to see you do something with Babylon 5 and Buffy. Sort of like the Buffy Star Trek crossover where shes in suspended animation and found? Perhaps by the Minbari and they take her to B5 since they are the closest humans? How would she deal with a Vorlon (Kosh Who? Gesundheidt!) and vice versa? Or Garibaldi?. If you've seen the series you know what the joke was...

Review:
So i just sat up for two days reading this entire series..... and all I can say is MORE, PLEASE? Okay so I don't usually go in for the whole HET scene, but this was so well written, and so , I don't know, beautifully buffy/doctor(ey) that I loved it all.

Well I say all, what I really mean is all but Elizabeth, cause I really don't like her.

Just so you know, all anyone in my family has heard about for the past two days has been your stories... I even made my sister spit out her coke when I was telling her about the futurama/doctor who cross over. I am adding you to my favorite author list and will be happy to read anything that you write (just like mercedes lackey). You have my eternal gratitude for gracing the world with your works.

Thank you very much.

Review:
Your stories are, so far, the best I've read on this site. Although, admittedly, that isn't very many.

And, I don't even really like Doctor Who, so that's saying something.

So, anyway, please write more, and soon!

Yes, he did do it and he does. He exposes his companions to great risks and never chekcs to see if they came through it as well as they should, if they have been other wise affected and he always ignores the danger posed by his own species until it is too late. As soon as she started to act irrationally he should have ttried and find out what caused it.

38.00 deaths and a woman's sanity and liberty. Congratulations Doctor, you are guilty of manslaughter and crimes against humanity...

Thanks for writing

I feel...i dunno, let down(?) by the ending. Its words stated emotional depth but the writing didn't make me feel the emotional depth. It felt almost, but not quite like a band aid to close up the story.
Comments from author:
Oh. Sorry. Endings are hard.

Review:
An odd ending at first, yet very satisfying at the same time. When someone's in a funk there is no magic cure or word to bring them out of it. Baby steps really, and this chapter does a lot in showing that. And so ends yet another interesting story. Definitely one of the better BtVS/DW crossovers out there.

Elizabeth the character probably didn't quite work out as intended but I guess its hard to come up with a likable character who also constantly vilifies the Doctor, a character we know for almost 50 years as a force for good. we accept that from his enemies, but from another 'good guy', not so much. Also I have to admit that I lost oversight at some point of some of the details between Elizabeth and the Doctor. Also the Thanatos gambits of this Doctor seem to be getting a little out of character. Seven was the master manipulator. Ten never gave me that vibe. Far more of a guy who was winging it all the time.

Anyhu, on to the next story! And may some of the earlier Doctors (Two! Two! Two!) finally make an appearance. ;)

Aww that was awesome. I loved that last bit. it is so true, everyone has some evil inside of them.
Comments from author:
I know! I thought it was very cute. Also because if they both went evil, they'd say, "Screw everyone else!" and get together.

"Riley-Doctor-Buffy fantasies" hilarious, I kept giggling every time I thought about it.
Comments from author:
And the best thing about it is that it would totally never work. What with Riley and the Doctor severely not getting along. Least R-rated sex scene ever!

Review:
So I have been out of town for a while and just got back. So glad to come back to so many updates to read. You were asking about Elizabeth being good or evil. and there is something I want to say about that subject. Hitler thought he was doing good, that didn't make what he was doing good and it doesn't make me like him any better. In my mind Hitler is evil, maybe he had some mental sickness that made him think that everyone who wasn't white was evil, I honestly don't know. But whether he was sick in the head or just a sick twisted human being what he did was evil. That being said, um what was my point?

Is Buffy and the Dr going to go try and stop it from happening? or I guess they can't because it is a locked time frame. So basically the Dr made a mistake and all those people died at least that is what I understand about it. It was when he sent Elizabeth back and didn't warn her about his mistake that he made a choice to let those people die. But if he didn't what would have happened? One of those Universe ending things? If so, sorry but he did make the choice of the lesser of two evils. Just wish he could have pulled a Buffy and made it so neither of the bad things happened.
Comments from author:
Yep. Lesser of two evils. But that doesn't mean the Doctor isn't going to feel insanely guilty about it.

Review of chapter "Chapter Twenty Seven" from Muadzin
Review:
I just realized something, while sane people worry if they might be insane, the insane just see nothing wrong with what they are. Similarly, real monsters either rationalize away the evil things that they did as necessary or see nothing wrong with them, whereas everybody elses wrestles with their guilt. The Hitlers, Stalin's Mao's and Pol Pot's of the world never lost a second worth of sleep over what they did. If the Doctor truly was a monster he wouldn't be angsting about it. If it were me, that's what I would say to him.

Of course you can't forgive a man who doesn't want to be forgiven, but who wants to be punished instead.

Just some random observations.
