that as a funny drable but i wanted to comment you said there was no reason for Andrew killing Jonathon, actually he was manipulated by the first evil to do it

Please see my reply to a previous review - while we know that the First Evil was involved, we still don't know how it persuaded Andrew that it was a good idea.

Loved "A Happy Event", but on the same basis, what about Willow's event?
Comments from author:
I think Willow got to take out Warren about as thoroughly as is possible - she didn't really have much reason to want to kill Andrew, he wasn't really responsible for killing Tara.
So, did the second shot finish him off, or does the whole clip have his name on it? 'Cause you know that if the first shot wasn't fatal, it wasn't meant to be. A sword to the gut would be a (relatively) long and painful way to be killed, so I believe Ziva must be making the punishment fit the crime, "an eye for an eye" kind of thing.

I'm going with "too angry for the first shot to be 100% accurate" I think. But in 100 words there are bound to be some unanswered questions.

Okay...when I see the term "character death" associated with the category "humor" and it's titled "A Happy Event"...I had to scratch my head and go: "WTF!?!"
Then I read it and...well...it makes perfect sense now.
Funny fic, and thanks for the cheerful story.
:-D

Nicely done. Oh my, yes. I do believe you wrote a perfect Ziva. I am just not sure she would have killed Andrew that quickly. I must agree with another comment made earlier. Ziva would never have taken two shots to kill the little bastard. Unless she had a lot of ammunition to burn off just for fun, of course.

It's not something I can explore in detail in 100 words. Let's just assume there were good reasons.

I'm a little confused. I haven't watched the episode in question, or many others really. I've been dizzy and prone to motion-sickness since 1997, so BtVS was way to active for me to watch. But I read somewhere that Andrew killed Jon accidentally, the First made him think he was being attacked by a demon that turned back into Jon when Andrew stabbed him.
Don't get me wrong, I DON'T like Andrew, Jon should have been the one to survive, but that's not the crime he deserves to be punished for, he honestly believed he was defending himself. On the other hand, there are probably a LOT of other things Ziva could be killing him for.
The result is great, but the reasoning is flawed if my information is correct.

I remember it as a simple killing without any illusions etc. apart from "Warren" telling Andrew what to do. I can't find a clip on line, but here's how it's described on the Buffy Episode Guide site:
"Johnathan feels a hand on his shoulder as he turns and stands, seeing Andrew. Behind Andrew Johnathan sees Warren grinning. A split second of shock on his face, just before Andrew plunges a sword into Johnathan's stomach. Johnathan falls to the ground as Andrew looks down at him coldly."
I think your source may be mixing it up with the illusions used to make Buffy think she'd killed Warren's girlfriend.
