fun. from context it sounded like it was supposed to be Nine but it totally came across as Eleven to me. hmmm.
Comments from author:
It was actually supposed to be Ten just after he had regenerated. A couple of people have mentioned that he sounds like Eleven, but, honestly, before he got all serious after Rose was trapped, Ten was pretty zany as well. Also, the licking was totally a Ten thing.

Rather silly. But it makes sense, everyone is in character, and it is an enjoyable read. I would not be opposed to a squeal of Dawn learning how to be a TARDIS.

Well, if they plan on returning so it seems like Dawn never went away they could take Buffybot with them. And I've got a sweet spot for Buffybot saving the universe in her own peculiar ways.
Comments from author:
Do you really think that the Doctor will get them back when he plans? They'll be luck to land in the right decade. Your point about the Buffybot is a fair one though. After all, Dawn does not know about the Doctor's inimitable navigation skills, so she might just take her along. It would certainly add to the mayhem.

Wow! What a terrific Dr. Who episode. Alright, Dawn was there but to me it felt more like Dr Who. And what a marvelous explanation for what the TARDIS, I mean the Key, really is. But I am sorry but the mental image of Dawn and the Doctor's TARDIS ... ah ... mating is just ... Well, I think it is possible you've invented a new sin. Will there be more episodes of the Doctor, Rose, Dawn, and the TARDIS running around the Universes and times having fun? And of course running a lot. Oh, and saving the Universe. A lot.

Thanks for your comments.
Will there be more? Well, I'll see what I can do, but I don't have anything specific in mind right now. Of course, I can think of at least one major divergence in the Doctor Who timeline and at least one major divergence in the Buffy timeline which this would cause, but I'm not sure that I'm up to writing either of those stories at the moment. Right now, I'm focused on writing my ongoing Stargate crossover "Gods, Gates and Keys," so I'm not sure when I will have time to get back to this idea.
As for Dawn and the TARDIS mating, well it sounds like you're just about as enthusiastic about the whole thing as Dawn.
Little nitpick. Well, not a nitpick. Which Doctor is this supposed to be? Having Rose there suggests either Christopher or David, but the manic and clueless way he's behaving, plus that very 'Matt Smith' last line, seems to fit more in with Matt's portrayal. Can you clarify which regeneration this is? Thanks.
Comments from author:
This is Ten, or I guess David. Particularly before Rose vanished, I always found that the manic and clueless thing was his shtick as well. Also, he's the only Doctor I know who is in the habit of spontaneously licking things.
So Weird! But very creative and interesting. Why is Dawn living alone? I thought she lived with Willow and Tara at this point in the story line.
Comments from author:
She is living with Willow and Tara at the moment. However, they never got around to discussing that detail, as the Doctor dragged her off as soon as he heard that she was tricking social services by having a robot pretend to be her dead sister. During the summer after season five, this was exactly what everyone was doing. The Buffybot was pretending to be Dawn's official guardian so that no one would come and take Dawn anyway from all her friends in Sunnydale. The Doctor just showed up here with a better offer.
