Review of chapter "Chapter One: The Comings" from jimk
Review:
"Liz had the advantage in a straight melee fight, but the fights in Gotham were rarely straight shots." I don't know. The only real issue I can see is the Slayer is designed to slay. That seems a bit of a problem when it comes to fitting it with the Bat group. Otherwise though I have a hard time imagining Buffy with slayer strength and skills not being able to completely trounce Stephanie in any kind of fight.

Review:
Liz is right, it's to dangerous to wear it. Her overreaction when magic is used on her will make it even more dangerous. She is already unbalanced and her powers are going wonky. So wearing those pendants you don't know how she will react.

Liz should work something out with Sineya when those two are working together they could do something against Idonea and in the same time Brandt and 'the Council' of this world
It could go several ways:
Liz and Sineya could work together and create a unchained line of power. Sineya will be stronger because Liz already accepted her and she only needs to do it again. She needs to call Sineya's powers/ Liz's(Buffy's) old power to her again and give the power access to her freely. Together they are strong alone not so much.
They could work together and accept Idonea and merge. That way there will be another line with both Slayers in it but with a unchained Idonea. So still free but Tim and maybe Brandt will tag along.
Liz could accept Idonea freely and there will be still an unchained Idonea but still with Tim and probably Brandt in the mix.
She needs to make a choice otherwise Brandt will win and so does this Council. They will force Idonea in to Liz she will be chained and serve others with her power.

I can't see Liz accepting Idonea and reject Sineya and if she accept Idonea one way or another she will also doom Tim and I can't see Buffy doing that. Idonea is weak and can't fight against the chain so neither can Liz. To many people will be hurt if Liz doesn't find a solution and understands her dream.

I also don't like Brandt and Idonea. Brandt is, however he probably wouldn't agree or maybe he would, a selfish person who don't care that by his act he will doom another person. He is as evil as the Council from this world. All he cares about is freeing his wife no matter what. Idonea is just the same she just don't care. Being free is more important no matter the cost. Nope two evils in disguise. They aren't probably evil but their actions make me them that way.

Very good update's hope there will be more soon.

Review:
I don't understand why they are even considering using these pendants when there are literally a hundred better options out there. Someone is attacking Buffy magically. This is out of the Bat Clan's normal sphere of influence. Call in Zatanna. Or Dr. Fate. Or John Constantine if you want to keep things street level. If they absolutely must use the pendants, have one of the above (or any of the many other mystical heroes) set up some sort of mystical contraceptive to counteract that effect of the pendant. It wouldn't be difficult.

Hell, considering just how often mystical pregnancies seem to be a problem for female heroes, I would be genuinely surprized if functional charms to prevent any and all pregnancies weren't readily available at the local magic shop. "Oh, you got something that magically messes with fertility and sex drives and makes normal birth control useless? We got something for that on Aisle 2."

Liz is right, and honestly, the Pedants can't be the best option, too bad they don't know how to contact Doctor Fate. Also Liz is not ready to have kids.

So I just reread the entire series of stories. This is well written and interesting. I loved Barbara calling Liz a rookie, as she will be in for a surprise. I hope you find the inspiration to finish this story. I keep imagining Whistler visiting the Bat clan and explaining a few things, and Liz being very annoyed with that.

Thanks! Don't worry, more is coming soon. I have chapter nine almost done. I'm hoping to have it out by the end of the month.

This really needs an update and Buffy should so not have to be babysat. Yes she needs to relearn her skills and perhaps learn police procedures but she no beginner and I would so love to see her save Batmans arrogant ass.
Comments from author:
An update is coming. My goal is to have the next chapter out by the end of the month and chapter ten is two-thirds the way done so you shouldn't have such a long wait again.

Review:
Read your other new stories. The one with Buffy as Sam and Dean's little sister has definite possibilities. And I'd like to see where you take a SPN/BtVS/SG1 cross. But really the note that you were half done with the next chapter of this baby had me giddy, so I re-read the series...again.

You know what I realized midway through this chapter? I was waiting for Lizzy to go off on the other chosen. "I'm alone, I don't have my shield, everybody is taking my power! Boohoo." When was Buffy ever aloud time to wine like that? She was generally being told that having anybody at her side would just get them killed. Seriously, I felt like she should tell the old chosen that if she didn't like being powerless, then she should Slayer up and Take. It. Back! No friends. No family. No hope. When the chips are down the slayer stands alone. And Wins. No whiners permitted.

Then somewhere along the line I realized something. If the theory that the chosen in this dimension was created to stop the demons from invading from Buffy's dimension was correct, then Buffy's chosen line predates this dimension's entire lineage. After all what else would the demons have been fleeing from? Buffy's not a NEW line, she's the ORIGINAL line. Wow is this council about to get a schooling.

I hope Babs has her cameras running during the next fight. Even weakened Liz is going to unleash havoc among the assassins. Also as her trainer Dick is going to need to see the video. Her training is all Head and Heart: How best to end the undead. This doesn't translate well to an "I don't kill humans" policy. She's having to think her way through every fight. No relying on her instincts or she'll end up with an oops like Faith did. Nightwing is going to have to adjust all of her kata to something less lethal and drill her in it until it's her first response in a fight. I do not envy him this.

See what you do to me! I need the next chapter!
