The actress who plays Cam has a minor reoccurring role in NCIS. Anyone comment on 'her' resemblance?

Should point out that NCIS is set in the same fictional universe as JAG, so the fact they could watch JAG 'in' an NCIS universe is funny.

Re-reading the entire series and hoping that soon you make a new chapter on at least one of them, as you do have so many up and running.

So, give Buffy reason for hitting a target and she'll respond admirably!! Very nice!

Yep at a certain point Gibbs' eyesight won't do for those sniper shots, and he'll need someone. Overall, I resisted this story because of the number of crossovers, but read it because I liked your earlier work and your continuity. Good job of dealing with so much. I've seen very little Bones, and I'm glad you were able to do something to make the characters seem different from each other and meaningful for someone who isn't a fan of that show.

Not exactly following all of the family tree stuff here, although I did see most of the first season and bits of the rest of the Pretender. Enough to follow along with the emotional impact, though. The idea that Jarod's mother and Katherine's mother were either sisters or first cousins from identical twins/siblings, is an interesting way of looking at part of the picture. I liked the humor dialog that you gave Booth for comic relief about the mutant smoothies.

The political aspects of the story were unexpected, but the conspiracy angle was still interesting, and the team assembled to tackle the problem generally worked out rather well (Although I do feel that Willow going ‘dark’ just because Booth looked like Angel was a bit extreme, but then I freely admit that I’ve always been sceptical about the idea that the Scoobies didn’t trust Angel during his W&H phase).
That said, the general premise of the teams coming together to facilitate inter-agency cooperation in the event of some future catastrophe seemed plausible, and some subsequent developments such as the Jeffersonian team’s discovery of the fate of the scrolls and Parker’s father.
Hope you continue this soon; if nothing else, I’m looking forward to seeing what explanation you’ve come up with to explain why Booth looks like Angel...

Oh, another excellent chapter. It's interesting to see how the relationships are progressing. Thanks for the clarification on timing, it makes it much clearer. The scene with Angela and Jack was a very nice way of showing the intimacy between Buffy and Jarod. A very good application of show don't tell. The summation of facts was quite amusing at times, but also very emotional, what with Miss Parker's fears. I really liked that scene, especially the little indicators of Willow's developing feelings. And her fears made her more human. Nice hint to Criminal Minds as well. Buffy versus Ziva was great fun. I really enjoyed those scenes. Can't wait to see how the others are doing.
"stipulating its existence, might behavior under a given set of circumstances" - might behave.
EDIT: Are Katherine's powers the psychic abilities that she inherited from her mother? Or are we talking abut different powers?
Comments from author:
Thank you for spotting the Penelope Garcia call out. :-)
And yes, Katherine's powers are the psychic abilities she inherited from her mother. Ethan's are as well.
Now I get to start introducing the bad guys. >:-D

I love this story. You've managed to capture the personalities of a variety of different shows quite accurately, and it's very well-written. Can't wait for more!
One thing, Buffy's eyes are green. While SMG wore a variety of contacts, mostly hazel, during the shooting of the show, when it came time for the comics, Joss made sure they were drawn green. Check the cover of the first comic in Season 9 for an example. It's a brown-green, but the 'official' color of her eyes is green.
Comments from author:
Ah, well, there we go then. I never read the comic book, but I shall respect this bit of Joss canon. Green it is.

i loved this but i have one itty bitty issue Buffy has green eyes not brown.
i loved angela's drawing i hope you have her give it to them at some point. it might have been a personal moment but i'm sure both of them understand that sometime you see private moments on accident.
lovely update and i can't wait for more
Edit: i can't remember where i read it but i'm like 85% sure they were green but i'll totally agree to the hazel.
Comments from author:
Hmmm.
/googles images of SMG - eyes appear medium color, but none of the shots are close enough to say /checks BtVS Wiki - doesn't say /checks Wiki entry on SMG - doesn't say /checks IMDB entry on SMG - doesn't say but does have a decent headshot. Eyes - to me - appear a light brown that probably could, in some lighting, appear green.
Shall we compromise and say she has truly hazel eyes? (See Wiki entry for eye color.)
Overall, a good chapter. I do have a couple of minor problems with it, however.
First, unless Buffy was deliberately moving more slowly than normal, Ziva should not have been able to block her moves. With her training and experience, Ziva may be more knowledgeable than Buffy (although that's debateable, since Buffy is pretty experienced herself), but she should not be anywhere near as fast. Even if Ziva's reactions were correct, they wouldn't be quick enough; it would have been like someone who's used to catching a baseball, trying to catch a bullet - which brings me to my second problem.
Buffy's natural abilities might make her a quick learner with a gun; she might become a crack shot in record time. She might also be a very good long range marksman (markswoman ? marksperson ?), due to superior senses. But neither of these would allow her to hit the target on the very first shot, with a weapon she'd never fired before. You can't predict where a bullet will go unless you've seen where earlier bullets went. Buffy simply does not have the experience to shoot as well as she did. It would have been more realistic to have her shoot several magazines, showing steady improvement over time and reaching expert only at the end.
Neither one of these is very important. This is still a good story, with good characters, good dialogue, and an interesting plot. However, they were a little distracting, at least to me.
Comments from author:
Jarod did specifically say "watch your power and your speed." So, yes, Buffy was deliberately holding back. At least until the overhead backflip. That part was just showing off.
And, from personal experience, I can tell you that it is possible to pick up a gun and do a decent job hitting a target while having little to no experience. I've been to a firing range twice in my life. The first time I used a Smith and Wesson .38 model 10 revolver with a long barrel. I hit the target every time, and after the first couple of shots, hit the kill zone every time. The second time, years later, I used a semi-automatic pistol (no idea what make or model), and again, never missed the kill zone. My problem was placing the shot vertically, as my shots clustered in a four or five inch vertical line.
I do not consider myself a marksman of any kind, let alone a trained athlete or soldier. Buffy, on the other hand, has extensive experience with ranged weapons - just not the type which require gunpowder. Her eyesight, reaction time, large and fine motor coordination, and strength would provide her with a remarkable, if not incredulous, advantage over a first time shooter.
