Review of chapter "Chapter 4: Kara" from draconis
Review:
This is a very good start to what I'll christen "Smallville Noire" (either that or "black&white Sin City-Smallville").

I too, generally don't enjoy the inclusion of significant 'song' lyrics in 'song fics', but I'll disregard that for purposes of review (I consider the inclusion of multiple verses of lyrics to be irrelevant and distracting).

The blending of "Lois and Clark" elements into "Smallville" also very nicely done. To a degree it reminds me of some character portrayals and relationships in a few Bogart and Bacall movies.

Reeeeally liking this darker, more focused Clark ,Lois, and other "White Hats" (and Grey-ish Hats too).

I really hope the betraying, greedy, Luthor-allied "bitch Lana" is a real and sustained portrayal. For example, I hope you don't plan to later reveal her as "really" having been all along some sort of heroic "undercover White Hat" down the line.

If I'm correctly interpreting your story, you have also given Lois MUCH more experience in the darker underbelly of being part of the resistance and a spy...and not treating it more as just a casual "undercover" bit for a story (as was done in L&C canon).

Turning the (proto-Justice League? + some "civilians" (like Perry White, Jimmy, etc)) into a resistance cell is inspired. Although if that was done by another author in comics then perhaps I'm giving a misplaced kudo out of my ignorance. However, regardless of whether or not you have been original or simply are using someone else's existing darker L&C "The Metro Bar" plot element here, you've done a good job implementing the concept.

Thanks.

Review of chapter "Chapter 3: Resonance" from Gideon
Review:
I wonder if meeting in such an untrustworthy location will lead those two to be more wary of each other in general or if they would have felt the same no matter where they met due to Clark's new history?

yeah, the "glasses as a disguise" thing never made sense. Comic book convention. Meanwhile.... I'd love to know how Luthor approached Lana, sounded her out, got her to go along with the scheme... is she affected by a meteor rock, or is it all her, etc.
It's an interesting AU. Even if he clears his name, everyone knows he's a meta, probably will never put on the Superman suit, might not join the JLA...

Review of chapter "Chapter 2: Infinity" from countryangel
Review:
I really do like Clark's backstory. Its just as mtsterious as the alien bit, but, honestly, so much more believable. I like the combining of L&C with Smallville. The Metros episode was one of my favorite episodes. I can't wait for the next chapter, hopefully my memory of it is accurate.

So, related to the Potters? That's... interesting. And, he's got a lot of allies; unfortunately doesn't know about them, and would resist any 'bring him in' effort. Chloe's idea on 'only he could hear' msg is the best chance.
I wonder if Lana is getting a little nervous.

Review of chapter "Chapter 1: Escape" from countryangel
Review:
Omg! I remember this story. I cant remember which site it was on, but I read & reviewed it faithfully, at least until I lost my internet access, so I was never able to read the finished story, but I think it was almost over. I am so excited to see this story again. I loved the characterizations & the twists you gave this AU. Thank you so much for posting this again.

Review of chapter "Chapter 1: Escape" from Toras
Review:
Now this is an interesting beginning to a story. I assume we'll be seeing some flashbacks to see what Clark was accused of? Also will you be bringing other Superheroes into the story? I could see Batman deciding to investigate the case of the escaped mad man Clark Kent. I look forward to seeing more of this.

Review of chapter "Chapter 1: Escape" from Gideon
Review:
Interesting AU. It does help with a story to make Superman a little less Super, so I can understand why you want him to be less invulnerable and maybe not as strong or fast, at least not yet. I hope he can think clearly enough to know that going after lana would just get him caught. He needs to move on. Find new friends, new people to trust. Moving out of Metropolis, or even out of the US entriely would also be smart. Might make it hard to keep an eye on Lex, and find out who framed him though. I guess where he decides to settle will show what his priorities are.

Very interesting take on it. You left yourself a broad opening to explore a darker more un-trusting Clark Kent. I would definitely like to read more, will be tracking. :)

Review of chapter "Chapter 1: Escape" from kaleecat

An intriguing beginning, I teresting enough to draw me in when I don't really read smallville fic except crossovers. Is this sort of a mix up of canon events from smallville, Lois & Clark and comics?

Also could you spell out the pairings -- not everyone knows the smash up names.
