As you say, "Xander dresses as..." is probably the most overused trope on this site - and you've done a wonderful job of parodying it here. As for feeling sorry for Xander? I'm afraid not - and that probably makes me a very bad person...

I'm glad that you enjoyed the story, although, how can you not feel sorry for Xander? He's going to be spending all of eternity locked in close combat with some sort of Hell-God of sadomasochism. Thanks again. :)

You've parodied Halloween! You've mocked one of the core foundations of Buffy verse fanfic fandom! Do you know what you've done!?
The fandom will collapse and thus the internet is headed for a disaster of biblical proportions. Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies! Rivers and seas boiling! Forty years of darkness! Earthquakes, volcanoes... The dead rising from the grave! Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria!

wait a minute, you didn't post this on halloween. And thus you haven't accidently used the weakness between the world of the living and the dead. So there won't be a (Psuedo-)Zombie apocalypse, there might be some fraying in the fabric of reality. But only enough that some poor groups of scientists might see some particles go slightly faster than the speed of light again. And therefore make absoulte fools of themselves when annoucing the development.
