Review of chapter "Riley Finn Doesn't Hate the Doctor" from ShyBob
Review:
Like I've said before: poor Riley. Buffy really does need a little monster in her man. BTW, I think Riley does hate the Doctor a little :)

Yay, the 11th Doctor! Double yays for Amy and Rory!! It's such an added delight when you have companions make an appearance. And the ideal two for this story with such a perfect parallel between them and what you have going on between Riley and Buffy. (I think my favorite section was the scene between Rory and Riley)

You really nailed insecure jealous Riley. And as much as I don't like the guy you managed to make him somewhat sympathetic here. Unlike Rory, who got his girl, you have Riley slowly realize he just doesn't stand a chance. This realization works effectively well with the canon development of his character and could possible explain his mind frame and actions the first time the Doctor meets him.

Another great story. Looking forward to the next one.

Review:
I enjoyed this more than the last two stories (except for the licking) but it only works because of them :)

Review:
The worst enemies aren't the ones who are there, right in front of you.
No, the worst ones, are ghosts.
They're never there, you can't punch them or kick them or scream at them.
And the worst thing about fighting ghosts?.
No one will truly ever believe you, and that can be so tiresome.

I like how the order that you post these stories is kinda wibbly wobbly. Gives it a bit of extra Doctor Who feel to seeing things happen in the wrong order.
Comments from author:
Thanks. That's less intentional and more due to the order I think them up, or am able to write them. I was actually going to post this one after "Elizabeth", but delayed it because I felt there was too much denial recently.

Man I thought this was going to have the infamous scene where he tried to kill the Dr. "the first time he met him" I am still a little confused is that the first time Dr#10 met him or the first time at all or um what? I guess that is still in the future, but I am really looking forward to Riley unable to beat the Dr. I like Graham but Riley I don't hate Riley, but I really don't like him either. At all. You totally had his lack of confidence which kind of makes me feel bad for him. still No a riley fan here.
Comments from author:
Sorry. I really, really, really disliked Riley. You'll see, in my stories involving Riley, that he's kind of a lot more villainy than he is in Buffy, because I don't like him.

Riley trying to kill the Doctor is still a work in progress. All will become clear when you read that story. Currently it is titled "The Doctor Meets Riley", which shows you how work-in-progressy it is.

"Nothing", the next story, is sort of the second time the Doctor runs into Riley (if you lump all those first meetings together, that is), and you'll see that there's a reason that the Doctor Riley knows well is Doctor 11. Doctor 10 has been avoiding him.

And, yes, I did shout at that helicopter to just leave already. Stupid helicopter, not leaving fast enough.
