This is a v. interesting idea. Buffy being Anita's mother. But why would you want to write a crossover with a fandom you've never read? BTW Anita's mother died when she was 5 in the books.

Of course it always pays to know what you're writing about. And I noticed that several others had already mentioned the case of Anita's heritage...

That being said, it's well-written, entertaining and I wouldn't mind if you wrote some more about it. How Buffy tries to protect Anita... et cetera.

Like the first two reviewers said, you've completely and totally blew away the very foundation that supported the Anita Blake universe. In every book, Anita makes several mentions on how her mother is Hispanic, which in turn...

Indirectly made her the way she is, how she acts towards life, romance, relationships and the such. Since her first boyfriend, her first true love refused to marry her because of her mixed heritage, causing her to be... well, 'cautious' towards any other relationships she has nowadays, creating the complex love... err... lots-of-angles she has with her numerous lovers.

Your stories draws me in, but might I suggest doing some general background check before writing a crossover? I mean, it'd avoid biiiig blunders like this. ^_^;;;

Hey its ok just write what you can not every thing will be perfect
even with the acutual writers like Joss or Hamilton.

Anita has told us repeatedly, in every single book, that her mother was hispanic. It's like she thinks if she doesn't mention it at least once a chapter we'll forget.

Just so you know, this fic doesn't just violate canon, it pretty much blows it to smitherines. But hey, its fan fic so unless the reader is really anal about these things, nobody gives a damn. Good idea by the way.
