She felt his heartbeat, once her hand his on his chest it stops her, and she's forced to reevaluate the fight and who exactly she's hitting which gives Clint enough time to run. Phil is just fun to write. Expect more of him. Thank you for reading!

One of the biggest ones is normal people going hand to hand with Slayers or Vampires.

I suppose this is goodbye though I am curious how you watched the show when they regularly had humans facing off against vampires. Giles, Xander, Wesley, Cordelia, Riley were all human, at one point, and faced off with demons and vampires regularly.

The Slayers Scythe, that doesn't much look like any sort of scythe at all.

I think the Slayer's Scythe is supposed to resemble the war scythe which is an entirely different beast than the scythe used by farmers and some versions of Death.
