Review of chapter "Chapter 3: Captain Picard" from Doraemax
Huh...i just read this.
First of all, i am sorry to hear you discontinue this story. The "YAHF: Ship of the Line" challenge has spawned numerous interesting story, this one among them. And yours is really promising.
I know this is kinda too late... but i really like the way Xander Picard respond to Jack. I liked that he challenged the US and A's right and arrogance to wage an intergalactic war bearing Earth's name without the consent from Earth's other countries. And Daniel's response about the Supernatural... totally reasonable.
Wait, Jennifer Hailey? aren't she the mini-Carter? Another hawking-level genius from the air-force academy with an attitude? hehe
Comments from author:
Yes Jennifer Hailey is the mini-Carter. In the original plans for this I had worked out her presence and possession deliberately in order to result in her receiving the genius and knowledge of a Kryptonian, which would have been an additional resource.
As it is, there are other stories I'm bouncing around or working on in fits and starts that are either responses to Ship of the Line (which if you look closely at was my challenge in the first place, and I am ever surprised and delighted that so many people actually took it up) or being developed on the original concept that predated SotL in my creative process. I may actually post the OS for that along with a challenge if I ever get around to constructing the neccessary suppementary oneshots as well as at least one start myself.
Sovereign is basically DOA although some elements and ideas which I had developed in mind for it are being borrowed for other projects.

Review of chapter "Chapter 3: Captain Picard" from KColl
Brilliant amazing chapter that wonderfully points out the hypocrisy of the SGC and the US government. As a Brit, I first began to be irritated with SG-1 (the program not the wonderful team), when they decided to start a war that could have led to the entire world being enslaved. When the SGC got involved with the Goa'uld, yes only US lives were in danger on missions, but what would have happened if the Goa'uld came here? Would they have taken just US lives then?
And yet the US government in their arrogance decided to unilaterally fight a war. And what about all the top scientists, engineers, archaeologists, and soldiers they could have recruited from the UK, Australia, Canada, France (I suppose), Germany, Italy, India, Japan and China?
Great. Well done. Nice to hear something different than 'my country right or wrong'.

Review of chapter "Chapter 3: Captain Picard" from Malu
There is nothing really wrong with this story. I like all chapters so far and I don't see why there should be a problem. It is possible that someone doesn't like the choices you have made for the storyline, but that should have nothing to do with the quality of the story and is just personal preference. If people don't like it they can choose to no longer follow and that should be it. Personally I would be very happy if you could find the inspiration to continue.

Review of chapter "Chapter 3: Captain Picard" from Kumayasha
Wanna say off the bat that I in no way wish to push you to work on this, just want to say 2 things and ask a question.
#1 I loved all 3 chapters. I see nothing wrong with chapters 1, 2 or 3. On top of that just want to say I especially like buffy fics that break into the canon and change all the rules lol.
#2 You gave Hailey (SG1 verse i presume?) Kara's powers and enhanced brain..... Her head was big enough before but now?.... I don't think the planet is big enough for her lol.
#3 The Question: What of Buffy and Willows Halloween night? anything different happen there? (beyond everyone else being AWOL that is.)

Review of chapter "Chapter 3: Captain Picard" from starwolf
you have a very interesting concept going here. I hope to see you add more to it. Xander did come off as a little pompous but so does picard a lot of the time. if your going to rewrite this chapter one thing you might want to consider. when Troi went for promotion to Commander she had to get command qualified in engineering and bridge systems. when she had troubles she conferred with Beverly. so as far as command qualified and trained personnel it would go, Xander, Giles, Jonno, Dawn, Troi then Oz and Cordie.
keep up the great work, thanks

Review of chapter "Chapter 3: Captain Picard" from AkashaDrake
I would like to remind the author of one episode where Picard got given the memories of an entire second lifetime. So Xander would have over a hundred years of life outside of the US. 50 as Picard, and at least 80 as a member of a people who were from a unified planet.

Review of chapter "Chapter 3: Captain Picard" from RedDeathLV
I don't see why anyone would have a problem with thus chapter... You're absolutely right. Hell, when I first watched SG-1 I wanted someone to say much of what Xander said to the cast so badly it hurt.
I say run with what you've got. It's excellent. I hope you pick this story up again someday.

Review of chapter "Chapter 3: Captain Picard" from Darkstrider
Well I don't know why so many people flamed the chapter, to be honest. It's a rational and understandable reaction to finding out that a secret project illegally declared a galaxy-wide war on an enemy with superior armament! Incredible story so far and I sincerely hope that you continue it!
