Dera me. Methinks that the Council is not making itself popular with either the conculting detective or the Slayers from the future... And Buffy and Faith can get some good coffee.
Fifty pounds is quite a lot of money for the period however. How many guys did Faith defeat? Or was it partly in bets?
Thanks for writing

Since this is clearly an alternate dimension, since in Buffy's dimension Holmes is a fictional charactor, the Slayers can change history if they so choose. Like getting Holmes and Watson to help shape up the Watchers 100 years early.

Looking forward and hoping Thomas Giles gets to meet and learn a little bit about his future descendent's slayer. Embarassing tales told to an ancestor don't count right?
Hah! And the machinations of the Watcher's Council begin to come to light. The meeting went well, so that's a plus. Looking forward to the next chapter. Thanks for sharing!
Interesting! I think you've captured Doyle's characters quite well, and I really look forward to the inevitable meeting between Holmes and the Slayers. Likely at this address Travers gave the men. Can't wait for more!
Not bad at all. I like how Watson spotted the fact that Travers was lying, even if he didn't know what Travers was lying about. The thing about Watson (which some filmmakers overlook) is that he may be less intelligent than Holmes but has a lot of common sense, and is actually better at reading and handling people. It looks like Travers is steering them towards the vampires. From his POV it would actually be smarter to direct them away from the action, but I guess overconfidence runs in the family.
You're doing a very good job so far. If you wanted to lengthen the chapters, you could throw in a little more of Buffy and Faith's reactions to Victorian society.

Really interesting story. I look forward to Buffy and Faith's continuing adventures in 19th century Victorian England.
Comments from author:
I'm assuming that most city streets even then would be paved in one for or another and even on a dirt road other traffic would quickly obliterate footprints. Also you need to know which ones you are looking for. Even with fairly distinctive sole patterns from modern footwear it would be difficult if not impossible to pick them from possibly hundreds of others.
Also I just didn't really think of it since most of the Sherlock Holmes stories I have seen he examined footprints in gardens or near windows but never on well traveled roads.

the chapter is over before I can blink even once. I look forward to each chapter and it is the authors choice how it plays out, I guess they are as long as they need to be. More soon please.

I do need to work on longer chapters but life has been keeping me busy of late. Hopefully more, and longer, chapters will be coming up soon.
