Review of chapter "26" from Vld
Review:
Jonathan and Heidi? Isn't that, like, incest? I mean, Logan/Laura? Probably even worse since Laura is an actual CLONE of Logan.
In other words, nice one. Way to make people react.
Comments from author:
Nah. It would only be incest if they were the
actual characters, as it is, because they have
one another's abilities, they smell familiar.

Thanks for the review.

Review of chapter "3" from Vld
Review:
Don't worry about it. It's your story, not mine. I may not like how you portrayed Buffy, that doesn't mean i resent you for killing her. I tend to kill a LOT of characters in my stories, whether i like them or not. If it makes the story work, or doesn't hurt the story, then i have no problem with it.

No, i'm reviewing to command you on your choice of characters, actually. Well, those i remember anyway. Xander as Frank is a good idea. Especially where i'm concerned. I said Xander sees the world in black or white earlier, so having some Frank, who sees it more in shades of grey (a hell of a lot of shades of grey) is actually fitting. Faith as Spider-woman... well, it depends on WHICH Spider-Woman. I'm hoping jessica Drew.

Levinson as Wolvie? Fitting, if only for the size. Besides, having the "best at what he does" in his head can only help the kid's confidence.

Oz as DD... that's an interesting idea. I would have gone with Black Bolt because Oz is a man of few words, but in retrospect i guess that would have been cruel.

Giles as Xavier is very fitting. Especially since Charles, while not being a sorcerer himself, is not that ignorant about magic, if only the theories. Jenny as Sue Storm? Hopefully noone dressed as Reed, because that's bound to make a love triangle almost as bad as Reed/Sue/Namor.

Robin/T'challa... well, i'm mitigated. The Panther is one of my favorite characters in marvel (okay, make that my top ten) while Robin... is not. I don't hate him, mind you. I hate very few characters from Buffy *cough*Warren*cough*. But i'll guess i'll see how this works.

Cordelia as Jen Walters? *snickers* She's gonna mourn her old wardrobe a lot!

Wesley as Union Jack is bound to be fun, somehow.

Not gonna comment on Pike becoming Ghost Rider, because... i only saw the movie once, and i don't remember him (or it) that much.

Last i remember, Vi as Jubilee? *THUMBS UP*
Comments from author:
Shrug. I don't see the point about arguing over a ten year old
dead show. I think the days that either of us would have changed
position on the chars we loathe\love have long gone, so....

Oz as Black Bolt would have been interesting, never thought of that.

Giles as Xavier was chosen simply because both leaders of groups
of younger people.

Robin as T'Challa. Cause they're black and Cage was taken.
I considered Jim Rhodes but that would have required the
costume too.

Warren will be in this.

Wesley went as Union Jack because really old tea & crumpets
had to go as somebody British, and sadly Marvel's choices
are somewhat limited....

Pike was into bikes. Ghost Rider was a biker, that was
as far as my thinking went on that.

Thanks for the review.

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from Vld
Review:
Nice story so far. I don't mind Buffy dying, but i can see a couple points in Zeus's... description of her where i really don't agree.

“The Summers girl for one,” Zeus replied. “Yes!” he raised a hand at the others’ exclaimed protests. “I am not doubting her mettle in battle, but she has major character flaws. Her arrogance and inability to listen will lead her to discard the advice of those far more suited to lead. Her selfishness and inability to learn will repeatedly lead her into hideous decisions that more than often than not will make things worse rather than better. Lehane at least has the wisdom to learn from her mistakes and listen to those better suited to leadership. Without Summers’ influence and mistakes to isolate her, Lehane could become a very effective ‘Scooby’.”

Her... arrogance. Funny. I can think of at least two of the core Scoobies with a hell of a lot more arrogance. Like a rank amateur witch who thought she could bloody do anything she wanted. or a certain "White Knight" who... well, is pretty much a Paladin (in the sense that he only sees the world in black and white) as long as it suits him. I mean, obviously, calling for both Angel and Spike's heads because they're demons, but then getting on Buffy's case for actually considering killing Anya when she went back to demon. Or his "woe-is-me" attitude over the loss of his eyes in something he CHOSE to be a part of.

Let's compare shall we. Xander killed his best friend. How many friends did Buffy have to kill? That includes, among others, Angel and her former childhood friend (i don't remember his name). Xander lost Anya. Again, Angel. Add riley in the mix of lost boyfriends, even though he's alive... because he couldn't handle her being stronger, AND her being worried more about both her dying mother and her little sister. He lost an eye? Poor guy. Remind me again how many times she died? And where she ended the second time... and WHO ripped her from there? In the end, it all comes down to one thing. Xander? He had a choice. And still has the choice to leave at anytime. Buffy? That choice was taken from her the second she was activated.

Maybe you mean what she told giles, "you don't have anything to teach me anymore"? Let's see. The man who's SUPPOSED to be my Watcher and father-figure leaves town after my death. Leaving my TEENAGE sister in the hands of young adults. I'll let that one go because at the time, the young adults were supposed to be reasonable.
I come back from the dead, my Watcher comes back... only to leave again, leaving me in charge of 1) my "duty" over the Hellmouth (a duty that technically hasn't been MINE since my first death, might i add), 2) my magic-addicted friend, because let's face it, after having seen magic for so long, of course i'm more than able to handle a girl MY age who... knows a hell of a lot more about magic than
i do. 3) my little sister, a teenage kleptomaniac. And 4) feeding all this little bunch. Because let's face it. Between slaying, coping with being ripped out of heaven, and attempting to take care of Dawn, without the support of my dead mother's life insurance (which has been used to protect the goddamned town AND buy the ingredients to bring me back to life) i sooo have the time to work in a sub-standard fast food to try and pay the bill. And what did he tell her? "You need to stand for yourself", or something similar, when all she did was ask him for some financial help. Hey, Ripper, remind me again WHO made sure you had that money back? As well as your official position in the Council of Needless? And the guy comes back and tries to end her actual best support. Yes, i mean Spike.
Well, i guess i'd be "arrogant" as well in that case.

Her "inability to listen"... because any of the others actually KNOW when to listen? See above.

"those far more suited to lead". *snort* Remind me again who appointed her general in the first place? None of them even TRIED to take the lead. Not the one with the knowledge (Giles). NOT the one with the power (Willow). And especially NOT the one "supposed to see all" (Xander). THEY appointed her general to deal with something THEY were responsible for. Namely the First. And when the shit hit the fan, they all truned on her. Conveniently forgetting SHE had lost a hell of a lot more than all of them COMBINED.

Her "selfishness"... well, i don't need to repeat most of my arguments, so...
Inability to learn. Learn what? To read languages? Any demon's weakness? That's the Watcher's job. Now, if all she did was training and slaying, then okay, she could focus on that some. Look how much good that did Kendra, though.

"Without Summers’ influence and mistakes to isolate her, Lehane could become a very effective ‘Scooby’.” Er... where should i start. Far as i remember, Buffy was the first one to try and welcome her. Yet Faith did everything she could to NOT be accepted. One-night stand with Xander, then throwing him out. Not exactly with the niceties with Willow. Giles's attempts... countered by Wesley, so for once not her fault. Whenever was it Buffy's? Unless you mean her telltaling on Faith's accidentally killing Finch.

I do admit Buffy has her faults. She's bossy, she's arrogant, she hasn't much of an attention pan, and she likes to have fun rather than focus on something that ISN't her duty, or can be done by people more suited for it than her.
on the other hand, she ISN'T the worse of them all, like you seem to point at.

Review of chapter "45" from Ghostrider
Review:
I wonder why Austria was the only place attacked. Doesn't feel right, not with the FE having so many minions. I also had to re-read those sections, wondering when the girls were introduced. That threw me a little, when the Potential defending the kitchen was named, since I didn't recall seeing her name. Apart from that little oversight, this chapter was rather good. I do like the whole vibe between Wes and his dad. It feels more like Dad is trying too hard to be a good father and that is leading him to do the wrong things.
Comments from author:
Nah, Wes' dad isn't trying at all. He's a superior ass.

Another fantastic chapter. I look forward to the next chapter. I was wondering if you are going to cross this fic with the Stargate universe?
Comments from author:
Nope.

But look out for Halloween Universe & a new fic tentatively titled 'Imperial Annexation' which will feature the SG verse.

Good to see the bad guys get stomped flat. Though I have to wonder what the hospital will say about the massive property damage. And I really like the fact that Travers did get his fondest wish and have it yanked away at the same time. Couldn't have happened to a more deserving fellow.
Comments from author:
I really like sticking it to the dude.

Review of chapter "39" from Ghostrider
Review:
So, I guess Warren and his gang have taken their shot. I do hope Faith survives this. You are really ratcheting up the pressure. Wesley's baiting of the Irish was fun and harkens back to his days with Angel.

With regards to the reviewer who points out that Xander as the Punisher is underpowered in comparison to his friends, I'd like to direct them to the fact that Frank Castle has tangled numerous times with various superheroes, from Daredevil to Spiderman and many others in between. All those fights, have ended in stalemates. One thing you need to remember is that The Punisher is Marvel's answer to The Batman, only much more lethal. The Bat lives by the old saying "Keep your enemies close and your friends closer" aka he has multiple plans in the event his fellow superheroes turn into enemies. Frank, due to his modus operandi, knows that at any one time, he could be facing one or more superheroes, so he has to have ways of dealing with them. There is even a storyline where he actually takes out permanently, all the Marvel heroes. So, underpowered with regards to strength or superpowers, true, but tactically and strategically? Not so much.

PS: Political Correctness is a bane on humanity. Best to get rid of it, as it is in direct opposition of the truth.
Comments from author:
Your argument about the Punisher is exactly correct and pretty much mine, I think I'd choose Moon Knight as Marvel's Batman's, but otherwise yeah. As for Wes, for me, it was more a throwback to his pre-Sunnydale superiority complex days.

PS: You noticed the review that criticised me for describing Gunn as 'black', huh? Yeah, some people shouldn't be let out on their own.
