Review of chapter "Arch-Demon" from Grovtech
Review:
You certainly have my attention as the fated battle gets closer and closer. There does seem to be some inconsistencies with just how good our heroes are. He has one of the greatest generals of all time in his head, but often his plans boil down to 'charge!' Their fighting ability appears to be the same. They have the skill of whatever the plot demands or so it seems.

On the other hand, I'm still very much enjoying this despite those points.

Thinking about it, the Hellmouth was a horrible place for Tara to go.

Meeting Willow as she descended into madness was not good for
her.

This story is only below Lord of the Rings in the way you built in all the creatures and mystic artifacts

Review of chapter "Never Again" from sdavidm
Review:
They make quite a mess in their car chases! Innocent bystanders surely died in this chapter. Can imagine governments being too pleased at so many innocents being in danger, regardless of how important the Mithras mission is.
Comments from author:
It certainly can be a problem.

Thanks for the review.

Review of chapter "A Blitz In Time" from sdavidm
Review:
Enjoyable story so far. I think Faith and Xander' fighting abilities vary a bit too much. Faith even had trouble with a human opponent in one chapter, a mere henchman, which doesn't jive with her badass rep. Tara's abilities seem a little underused too, and the group relies on Xander's always pocket too much. They've often been caught without even a knife on them, with Xander incapacitated. Even worse, they didn't learn from the first three times it happened. Not having a knife is not Faith's style.

Also, you overestimate how quiet silencers are. Check out a YouTube video on silenced firearms. They're still quite loud!

I also think that Xander, or one of his lieutenants, would have suggested acceptable rules of engagement. Wars are fought within ethical rules, like the Geneva convention, to mitigate the damage to innocents bystanders. No doubt each hunter group had their own rules, but if operating under a single banner, like the Brotherhood, they should follow one code.

As a final note, I think it's a little sad that you've cut out the rest of the Scoobies so completely. Their dynamic is part of what BTVS so enjoyable, though I get you're trying to start a whole new group with a different dynamic.

Looking forward to reading the rest!

Xander did give out operating protocols to each unit upon formation. These include such things as not charging, protecting everybody regardless of colour, race, age, income group etc., what activities are within their responsibility, and what aren't etc.

I loathe Buffy for many reasons. But rather than bash, I just cut her out of my stories. Willow's first loyalty is always to Buffy, so she goes with Buffy. Giles on the other hand is one of the great tragedies of this story, by mistakenly acting the way he did when Faith was captured by the Council, and misinterpreting Giles' motives, he cut a father figure out of his life. But that's Xander, hot-tempered.

Looking forward to reading the rest!

Review:
Any chance Tara could magic them back? And WHY DIDN'T he automatically put them in the pocket like he does everything else?
Comments from author:
Some have called it weaksauce (shrug). However my logic
is he simply was in too much of a hurry, he did a very human
thing.

He forgot.

Thanks for the review.

Review of chapter "2" from sdavidm
Review:
Nice progress so far. The terminator seems a little over powered though. A terminator can't be much stronger than a demon, particularly not the overlord that Faith already defeated (and where is that amulet?). I'm not sure retaking skynet will really change anything either. Inventions are often created by multiple people simultaneously.
Comments from author:
I'm not convinced the Terminator was over-powered, look at all the abuse it took to kill the first one in the first film!

She wears the amulet all the time, but while it improves your reflexes etc., it doesn't make your attributes multiply by 3 or 4 fold.

As for Skynet, maybe you're correct, or maybe it was an exact flaw in the code creating the AI that made the machines first sentient and then rebel. :D

Anyway, thanks for the thoughtful review.

Plot armor? Really?

Xander keeps everything in the Pocket, even his wallet. Why would he not put vitally important documents there?

"Travers smiled. But soon her and Mithras would be knelt at his feet, grovelling for mercy. Soon."

As soon as I read this line of Travers' I couldn't help but say to myself "hun uh! Ain't gonna happen".

Yeah, this is the Travers I've come to know and hate. He makes a good "hatee" because he's such a "hater".

And he's such a snob.
