good start,Buffy tends to slay first and ask after, I can see Xander needing someone to hold her back until things are explained. what the Xander may not be seeing ,is Giles first and foremost duty is to Buffy, and if Xander is a threat to her he will do what ever it takes to protect her.

Very interesting... though I am curious as to why Xander feels Buffy would slay him? Hyena has already taken place and she didn't do it when he was possessed, of course unless you plan on playing the hypocritical slayer card he shouldn't have much to worry about.

A Witcher cross. Interesting. Hope to see more of this.
I'll reserve judgment until after the infodump. But I like the setup. One point: Buffy would not Slay Xander so long as he still looked like Xander. She wouldn't slay Angelus, she wouldn't slay Giles in Fayral form, she won't slay Xander.
Hmm, interesting. I am completely unfamiliar with this cross but it seems to fit well with both Xanders character and will the Buffyverse. It will be interesting to see how long you can keep Buffy in the dark so to speak about Xanders new powers. I would recommend not too long, they need to deal with the issues raised by him getting powers earlier rather than later unless you are planning on breaking up the Scooby team.
