Review of chapter "SG-1 and an Agent, part VIII" from Zeviz
Review:
This remains a very enjoyable story. Thanks for writing. (I'd say the same in the other review, but I am too annoyed about Shar. :P)
Comments from author:
:D Sorry about that. But don't worry, I won't kill off Xander's little sister. :D

Review of chapter "SG-1 and an Agent, part VIII" from JediKnight
Review:
Very nice job on the newest chapter
Comments from author:
Thanks. Liz just seems to keep going farther and farther down the rabbit hole. Not encouraging when she started out already knowing NSA and CIA stuff and working for the NID...

Review:
As for Samantha Carter losing her clothes... that trope has a name: it's "fanservice." Too bad this is not a visual medium...
Comments from author:
Oh, I'm pretty sure most of my readers have excellent visualization skills... :D

It could also be the trope 'Badass in Distress'.

Review of chapter "SG-1 and an Agent, part VIII" from Amberdrake
Review:
There is no part of this that isn't fun.
Comments from author:
:D :D Thanks! (I'm sure Major Carter is currently disagreeing with you.)

Review of chapter "SG-1 and a Brit" from fanreaderonetwo
Review:
An Asgard ship being taken totally by surprised by a Goa'uld ship?

Wondering if Loki is dumb, sloppy (he has turned off those annoying sensor alarms that kept distracting him), is unlucky (a new tech Goa'uld cloak on the intruder) or is merely on a very poorly equipped ship......

OTOH maybe he just annoyed the script writers by demanding too much time on-screen or otherwise annoying them (ala Wesley Crusher) and the writers are taking their revenge? grin
Comments from author:
First, it is just a low-end science ship that Loki probably stole, and if so, it might have been in for repairs a la The Doctor's TARDIS.
Second, he has mentioned a problem with the sensors and such, which suggests Point One might be correct.
Third, the ships of Anubis and his underlings are a lot more high-powered and better equipped than your standard ha'tak.
Fourth, in canon one of Anubis' ships did indeed capture Thor, who does not travel in rinky-dink science vessels that need repairs. SG-1 had to rescue him. Or what was left of him.
Fifth, I love ordinal numbers. :D

Review of chapter "SG-1 and an Agent, part VIII" from RevDorothyL
Review:
Oh, Loki! If it weren't for the fact that you'd be taking what's left of SG1 down with you, I'd say it's just karma bringing the Goa'uld into play at this too-vulnerable moment for you.

Well, . . . karma, or possibly Murphy.
Comments from author:
Karma. Loki completely deserves what Anubis would do to him, given that it's pretty much what he has done to tons of humans in the past.

Review:
You killed Dawn! Or did you? Maybe she has set a new record for herself as regards her kidnappings - being kidnapped before she is even born.
Comments from author:
{Cartman}You bastards, you killed Dawn!{end Cartman} :D

It is also possible that Buffy chooses to believe this tidbit even when presented with the evidence that a lot of what Joyce said in that time period was just plain crazy.

Review of chapter "SG-1 and an Agent, part VIII" from Grovtech
Review:
I love the humor and the banter of the characters. You have me eagerly waiting for each new post.
Comments from author:
Thanks! Some characters just automatically generate snappy dialogue. Putting Jack O'Neill and Buffy Summers in the same room gives you tons of potential.

Review:
"Teal’c calmly said to Loki, “You should not state that nothing can go wrong. This is a constant in Earth fiction.”"

*****

That "constant" probably predates this movie, but note the end of this trailer for the 1973 movie _West World_

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LcL3eP0Hfy4

"West World, where nothing can possibly go wrong, go wrong, go wrong" grin

Comments from author:
I even used 'going Westworld' as one of the catchphrases of the inventors at Whateley Academy. But the phrase goes back way before that.

Review of chapter "SG-1 and an Agent, part VIII" from Gladius
Review:
I love Teal'c's take on "Don't taunt Murphy!"
Comments from author:
Teal'c is a very common-sense guy. I'm sure he's noticed this from decades of fighting battles too.

Review of chapter "SG-1 and an Agent, part VIII" from LFW
Review:
I really enjoyed Teal'c attempting to teach Loki; too bad he is so smart to listen
Looking for more
Thanks
Comments from author:
Loki is That Guy. The one who is sure that he's smarter than anyone else, or that he's a better driver than anyone else, or that he's a better athlete than anyone else.

Review:
Fun chapter that continued the possible reconciliation between Liz and 00 Giles. I enjoyed the SG1 character moments as well.
Comments from author:
Some characters, like Buffy and O'Neill and Teal'c, are just more fun to write.

Review:
What have you got against poor Samantha Carter? Between this and TSROAM, this is the second time in a few appearances that she turns up in a humiliating condition of undress! Nice chapter, great job of making the case for Giles. And now another two blasted weeks' waiting....
Comments from author:
Maybe I just *like* Sam Carter. Or maybe it just facilitates the story. Or maybe I am one of those Joss Whedon types who enjoys torturing his characters. :D

ah, those famous last words, with the classic dry delivery
thank you for that nice twist

Thanks for still reading! And yes, things are just not moving smoothly for SG-1 today.

Review of chapter "SG-1 and an Agent, part VIII" from hamishog
Review:
It's simple reasoning - you can't hate somebody that much unless love was involved. Here you have a bunch of kids who apparently took care of each other facing a potentially lethal situation and who comes in to save the day. The Librarian. None of them are in a healthy home situation and suddenly they have a father-figure who's actually cool. Unfortunately the one thing nobody tells you about James Bond is that he's a lousy parent and probably a sociopath. The only good thing about that situation is that the man regrets it. No matter what reasons they give the worst thing he did was leave because he didn't just take away their innocence, he took away their hope.
They were his kids and they could probably be his kids again. If he could convince them that he cared.
And survived the reconciliation.
Comments from author:
Yeah, Bond is not your standard Ward Cleaver father figure. Or husband. Or neighbor. Best case: he's Arnold in 'True Lies'.
