Review of chapter "Conclusion" from VillageOrchid
Review:
Oh, I was startled that Willow's existence was written out of the Buffy verse, but glad that some of the X-verse characters had some happy endings.

Review:
Nice ending. And kudos for using Zelazny explanation--Lord of Light, one of the best novels ever in sf. He's almost forgotten now. Someday someone should do a Buffy/9 Princes in Amber crossover.
Comments from author:
That would be utterly brilliant. I'll try and get around to it one day.

Review of chapter "Homecoming" from AllenPitt
Review:
SO..... Willow wakes up after 46 years? This is kind of depressing for her. And she has no magic, just very weak telepathic abilities? Ouch.
Comments from author:
Just wait for the conclusion. As for telepathic abilities - not so weak. When she was Antaeus, they were weak.

Review of chapter "Mind-to-Mind" from AllenPitt
Review:
wow, so he's going to stop 'suppressing' Willow. 46 years after. She'll be a bit disoriented. So...would her own body return? Hm, maybe she could use Cerebro to boost telepathic ability?
Comments from author:
You know, using Cerebro didn't even cross my mind? But no, I'm going to go in a completely different direction with this.

And he didn't even use the "W" word. This is the worse kind of possession. Almost as bad as Ben being born tied to Glory. I was kind of hoping that Antaeus was a magically created, "instant" love child.

Review of chapter "I'll have a word, later" from dialNforNinja
Review:
I was going to say that of course magic works there - Magik (duh,) Forge, and Scarlet Witch are all magic using mutants, not to mention other Marvel chars like Doctor Strange, Agatha Harkness, and Black Talon - but I suppose the movieverse didn't really bring it in until Thor, and if you're going X-movies only it's plausible I guess. Or maybe Wills just needs to connect to THIS world's Gaia etc. to draw power from, or the magic rejects her as Other & 'out of tune'

classicmarvelforever.com has the rpg book
Comments from author:
I know, but unfortunately I just don't know the comics well enough to bring in the mention of magic and magical characters.

Review of chapter "Caging the dreamer" from dialNforNinja
Review:
Oh dear...

As for magic in Marvel, it pretty much works the way the writers say it works this month, though you could try tracking down a copy of MHAC9 Realms Of Magic from the old TSR Marvel Super Heroes RPG if you want a distilled and semirationalized version circa early 90s. They can still be found on Amazon and in pdf form. Mostly though, BtVS magic is entirely compatible aside from needing to call on local powers and forces. Invokeable names and their powers would probably be the best of ROM for fic.

Review:
So... there's some kind of connection between Willow and Antaeus (shades of Ben/Glory). Poor Willow, she is not having a lot of luck in this adventure so far.

Review of chapter "I'll have a word, later" from VillageOrchid
Review:
I am beginning to think that Antaues may be the result of someone using the "W" word.

Review of chapter "I'll have a word, later" from (Current Donor)JanessaRavenwood
Review:
"I think the laws of physics of our world are different from your own - magic cannot exist here."
-----
Logical flaw - if magic cannot exist in that universe, then it could not have brought her there. Try again on that one.
Comments from author:
Theoretically speaking, if magic were to exist in another universe, it might be possible to open a gateway between them, lasting for a fraction of a second (plenty things seem to break the laws of physics. Admittedly, they're mainly quantum mechanical, but still) which would be long enough to bring Willow through.

Although, this is of course pure conjecture.

Review of chapter "I'll have a word, later" from Gideon
Review:
I guess we are about to find out if Antaeus can do that sand healing trick with the rest of his body :) I would have thought Wolverine's claws would be more effective at cutting up the ground that that anyway. I hope you can save Charles like you saved Mystique!
Comments from author:
I don't really think Wolverine's claws would be much good at digging, they're more shaped for slicing. I suppose he could've loosened the ground around him with them enough to climb out, but that would've taken a while, and anyway he (or I) didn't think of it.

As for Charles - you'll just have to see!

Review of chapter "A weapon for war, a force for peace" from michaelangelo
Review:
How odd, I always thought Xander was supposed to be the one who sees things, huh. Magneto has metal mesh lining his clothes enabling him to fly, also I know he doesn't use it in the movies but he can create wormholes, fling bolts of electricity, create energy shields etc.

Good story, a bit confusing with the bouncing back and forth though.
Comments from author:
You know, I never understood Xander seeing things. I never noticed him doing it, although I did see him be strikingly unobserving at times. But I digress... Willow's seeing powers will all make sense later.

I know a little of his comic book powers, but I'm more familiar with the movie and I don't want to go hugely OOC.

As for the bouncing... Well, there's nothing I can do about that.

Review:
Can you picture him hailing a cab, in that getup? Or maybe, in California it would attract no notice. So next up... Willow should test herself, are her abilities the same, has she changed? Is she going to end up being Jean Grey's mom? ....
