Review of chapter "Chapter One" from Gideon
Review:
Altogether unexpected for Buffy, and at such a busy stressful time in her life too. Good thing she knows how to deal with pompous gits and is able to sway them to her side :)
Like so many things though, their time for friendship was far too short.

Thanks so much! Glad you liked!

Excellent one shoot. Very nicely done, great lead into the end of the season of the vile bitch known as Glory. Excellent stuff. I would love to see some short of follow up. Especial what with Willow, Xander Tara and Anya's act of stupid. Over all a very fun short read. You did an excellent job and I'm glade you choice to post it.
Comments from author:
Thanks for the review, first off. ^.^ As for the Act of Stupid, well. The Perpetrators of the Act of Stupid will not be directly addressed, however the Act of Stupid (I like that title!) is the basis for the next bit. Thanks again!

Review:
Sequel needed. Stat! Come to think of it, Snape would warm up to her over time not just for her being ok with evil people redeeming themselves. He loved Lily, she's her daughter, would seem more Lily's than James', probably.
And... none of them know about Dawn apparently or at least that she's probably a Potter by blood also, via Buffy. Any chance Dawn could use a wand?
Comments from author:
Woo! Thanks for reading, first off. And YES!!! Both to Snape warming up to her because she IS a lot more like Lily than James, because you caught the Dawn conundrum. She's made from Buffy, but she's a Summers, as Hank would attest if he wasn't a deadbeat. Genetically, she's a Potter. But they recall Joyce being pregnant with her, and bringing her home from the hospital. So would Dawn want to be a Potter, and possibly lose her self-identity again, or would she rather just be Buffy's sister, who happens to be a Summers instead? These are questions that Dawn will have to consider before making a momentous decision that will change her life. That is, if Buffy bothers to consult with her about it instead of just letting her apathy after being pulled back rule her.

Review:
I kinda like the way this piece went. Don't suppose you'd consider turning this into a full-fledged story?

Outside of Harry having been past 2nd year (taken as he and Remus apparently know each other but Remus was not mentioned as being a teacher, just reporting to Dumbledore), and Spike apparently is at the stage in the BtVS storyline where he's an ally at least (if not friend) to Buffy, there's no real knowledge given of specific timeline details in either the HP or BtVS stories.

I'm assuming those letters were notifying them of Buffy's death (again). If you'd consider the idea of making this a full story, you could continue from the point of after Glory when Buffy'd jumped, actually got buried and Willlow did that resurrection (spelling?) spell dragging her soul back down to earth.

Obviously, this is your ficlet, so it's up to you, but it's just a thought.
Comments from author:
I bet you're exactly like me when it comes to reading the stuff posted before the meat of the story. Usually the author's notes, but sometimes more. It's why the warning was in the summary. I don't tend to read the author's notes unless they're at the bottom of the chapter because I'm too impatient to get to the good stuff, and thus I miss things. In this case, the timeline was posted in the A/N. :) It's season five/book five, taking place beginning of April through the end of May when Buffy jumped.

I am doing another fic-a-day ficlet sequel to it, but I don't know if I'll give it full-fledged status. I have a lot of things on my plate right now with Reaper of the Heart, this Fic-A-Day challenge, two Final Fantasy VII fics and a Batman/Buffy fic, I'm kind of full up.

Yes, the letters were death notices. Sadly enough. And the sequel will include the resurrection.

Thanks so much for the review!

One more ficlet is being written for this... not sure if there will be anymore after that, though.
