love what you've done so far. can't wait to see more. So Faith and another slayer called? Faith as a scion seems the obvious conclusion. and my brain is screaming Scion of The Morrigan from the Celtic pantheon for some reason.

Glad you're having fun. Don't worry, I have plans for Faith. :)

I was extremely excited to see an update for this when i checked my mail this morning. Thank you so much for writing. Life can be crazy and i understand that, so i find it awesome that you still found the time to write this unique story.
Unfortunately I did have one major problem with the update.
Like a few other reviewers have mentioned, Xander really should have stood up for himself. He had no reason to trust Buffy in that situation. How many times did she let Angelus go? All cause she wanted the walking corpse she slept with back. He had no way of knowing if she'd still fight her hardest, or if she'd try dragging out the fight hopping for the soul's return. Maybe next chapter when Willow, Giles, Joyce or whoever, confronts him you can have him actually explain and not just give in and take the blame. Cause really, Xander was in the right on this one, and Buffy needs to understand the safety of the world comes before ripping a soul from the afterlife and inflicting it with the memories of an Evil(notice the capital E) vampire, thus making it feel guilty for crimes it didnt commit.....
sorry for the rant, that just bugged me... otherwise AWESOME story, cant wait for more.

Thanks for the review. Yes, there's been some major blowback for my handling of the Lie, and that part of the story isn't over yet.
Rant recieved and understood ... just bear with me. Issues WILL be addressed.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO glad to see this updated. I can understand why Xander did what he did during the Angelus thing, I mean really, Buffy had time to kill him up until then and never did. All she wanted was her boyfriend back, even though they couldn't be together. But loving the story line and hope the updates continue.

great story really glad to see an update, though I have to say your Xander needs a little more backbone or may that is my wishful thinking. With a mystical power up you would think Xander could defend himself at least verbally I mean Buffy gets all mopey she sent Angel to hell and Xander hardly makes the point that if he told her the truth she would have held back to save her precious Angel and probably destroyed the world. I mean even if you would have gotten Angel back every person he killed is essentially on Buffy head because of her refusal to do the right thing because of her precious love. Long rant I know I just always liked Xander while he has done some things wrong he seems to be the only character in the series who is willing to make actual sacrifices without having a meltdown and always tried to put the world first. To have Buffy explode like that and then have Xander almost come to heel like a dog may be in character for the series but maybe oc for this story. Great story looking forward to the next update

Thanks for reading. Yeah, I've been getting mixed reviews about that. But it's an issue that I've seen argued back and forth, time after time, on the net and I really don't want to do it again.
Despite being Visited, despite his new powers, Xander is still Xander. He still sees himself as the sidekick while she's the hero, and it's true that his powers are less directly combat focused than hers: she's maxed out in strength, speed and endurance, while his powers also include healing, protection and the unique Aesir Jorunblut ability. He hated lying to her, and he felt guilty about it as soon as he lied to her. He'd do it again, but he'd still regret it.
I don't like Super!Xander stories any more than I like bash-fics, and I'm trying to remain true to the characters, while letting them evolve. Xander IS getting bolder and more confident, Willow is being more outgoing, and Buffy is being more thoughtful and introspective. Unfortunately, character growth takes time, and isn't always smooth, which will frustrate some readers. All I can ask is they bear with me: things will improve.
