I love it. Hermoines parents are in an old, old school Guilde of Assasins. Epic! HAahahahahahah! I laughed to myself, as I read the opening then laughed more at the end. Always felt they don't get enough play. Nice use of them. Nicely done.

Well, they were already halfway there, since they were dentists. ;-) So, I just made the final jump.
::snicker:: That one was fun and I do love how the transfer of power was accomplished in the best traditions of wizarding Britain. Granted, the Purebloods were stupid, but there's stupid and there's "too stupid to survive"; they demonstrated membership in the latter group.

Yeah, not beating the Purebloods down into the muck would be an affront to nature's laws of survival. ;-)

That was absolutely ruthless of Hermione. But it works.
Comments from author:
Well, considering that Hermione was the one who, in canon, thought that possibly being expelled was worse than getting killed and very easily and smoothly lied to authority figures regarding the troll incident; routinely assisted Harry in circumventing and/or breaking most of the various school rules and regulations; thought nothing of physically assaulting Malfoy when he finally pissed her off, one time too many; developed the charm to disfigure anyone who would betray the D.A., and didn't warn anyone about the possible consequences; and easily and quite ruthlessly manipulated Umbridge into entering the Forbidden Forest and tricked her into insulting the centaurs, who then kidnapped the vicious, but inept, little tyrant, I think that her being related to members of a centuries-old, efficient and quite ruthless group of assassins was an easy association to make. ;-)
