Review of chapter "Lares and penates" from SpacedCadet
Review:
It's a scene from one of the HOUSE movies.
Comments from author:
I fear I never saw those movies, hence my confusion. This at any rate is not a cross with them.

Sorry. There was an earlier review that mentioned them and I hadn't noticed it was posted in January, so I thought you'd pick up on my reference.
Comments from author:
Ah, I understand. With a bit of luck I'll get to answering those old reviews now my head is better.

Thanks and thanks for reviewing

Brings a whole new definition to 'meeting a sticky end'... Well, someone had to say it!
Comments from author:
Indeed someone had to...

Review of chapter "Lares and penates" from eriktheviking
Review:
A fun read with really impressive research to have found the background setting.
Comments from author:
Thanks. Not that much research, the basis was a lesson in mythology in high school. Don't worry, we were all 18 when we translated Martial... ;-)

Review of chapter "Lares and penates" from CPTSkip
Review:
What a lovely "ending" for Warren the psychopath. Nice one-shot that needs no followup and Tara wasn't killed.
Comments from author:
An 'ending' indeed...

All these are one shots. I doubt very much I'll ever write one that will have an actual sequel.

LOL.
On your knees and worship your god.
Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
Comments from author:
Indeed. Well, maybe Caleb...

Review:
Huh, bet Warren had wished he'd never even thought of messing with the Scoobies before it was done then.
Comments from author:
Warren probably is having exceptionally second thoughts...

Review:
And I thought what Willow did to Warren in the series was nasty.

But now that is a REALLY unusual and nasty way for Warren to go.

Wonder if Buffy and co saw that?

Keep up the interesting work.

Yikes.
Comments from author:
Ah, but even Tara didn't realise that Priapus isn't the gentlest of the Lares and Penates, so this can be chalked up as an 'accident'.

And having a god protect your house might be quite useful.

They might have heard some commotion and possibly ran when they saw...

Perfectly acceptable end for Warren, and at least Tara doesn't die!

Comments from author:
'End' indeed.

Tara lives and Willow will stay more stable.

And you just made me, a Classical Civilizations major, quite happy
Comments from author:
Glad you liked it. On that note, I realise that as Classical Civilisations interests go it might be a bit too far from it, but did you like 'Whom the gods love' in the Many lives of Joyce Summers?

Review:
since they can't send Warren to be a galley slave, that's quite appropriate.
well done
Comments from author:
I think the Scoobies, if they knew what he almost did, wouldn't really disagree...

Review:
I really enjoyed this...and as usual, I'm sorry it's a one-off.

I agree about the HOUSE moves, and the scene with the box of Kleenex is hysterical.
Comments from author:
Glad you liked it. No idea how I could continue Lares and Penates though...

And Priapus was hung like... Umm, I don't have an analogy. Maybe the greater hooked squid.
Comments from author:
When I was teaching I just tended to say 'his own upper leg'. Most pupils became very quiet after that...
