Decided to re-read this after the last episode with Rory and Amy in it, a bittersweet ep where we did get to see that he and Amy had a pretty long human life together. You caught a young Dawn so nicely there, as well as Buffy in all her usual and unusual style at times, such as wanting to go to the mall, and recognizing Rory's sword, even as she does care for Dawn, but just has trouble with it all. A swell fic, and one that made the day go much nicer imo.

Awesome story. I have to say that Dawn is my least favorite BtVS character, but this worked very well. The premise is believable (assuming Dawn actually had been there), and the characterizations are spot on Thanks for sharing and I look forward to more of your stories.
Its wonderful to see a young-Dawn done well, and still better to see three educated people staring at Buffy as though she were a talking monkey lol
Would dearly love to see more of your Rory and more of this Dawn.
