Review of chapter "Chapter One" from hysteriumredux
Review:
I really enjoy your stories, but this one has a glaring detail error for obsessive trivia fans. The George C. Scott version was one of the best film portrayals of Scrooge, but had a glaring revision of the story. Scott thought that his appearing in the traditional nightshirt during Scrooge's 3 visitations was unseemly, and would diminish his dignity. He insisted that he wear a complete suit in the scenes, and had enough clout to force the director to bow to his demands. Thus, his version of Scrooge fell asleep while still fully dressed, and when he awoke on Christmas morning he was still fully dressed. He never wore the traditional cap and nightshirt described in the original story by Dickens.
Comments from author:
I didn't write Scott as the specific Ebenezer Scrooge in this story. It was just Vi's remembering her favorite performance of this character, and yes, that actor was definitely one of the best at this role.

Hahaha! Oh yes! This is fantastic! And I love how you have Giles and Vi forming a similar bond to the one he has/had with Buffy (haven't had much of an opportunity to plow through S8 + S9 to know if things got better from S6/S7 re: their relationship) via his chastisement of Vi over gulping down roast chestnuts!

Review:
Muppet Christmas Carol is the best version of Christmas Carol. Though, I did like Scrooged too.

10+ I love A Christmas Carol though I admit some of the more recent movie interpretations like the Bill Murray one were more than a little disappointing. So who's your all-time favorite Scrooge? I liked George C. Scott and Alistair Sim equally well myself, though if I want to see a more light-hearted version I think it's hard to beat Michael Caine in the Muppet Christmas Carol.

Excellent work on this little series of stories and I am looking forward to seeing where you take our intrepid hunters next.
