Interesting for now though I have to say that I was surprised to see Faith so... accepting... of the watcher. With her background, I'd have thought her more wary of stranger. I suppose telepathy might help.
I'm not really well verse about mutant but that's quite a list of powers... Good luck juggling that with the Slayer!
Hopefully this means Faith won't lose her watcher to Kakistos? Just a few small changes like that, and she won't go nuts the way she did in the series. Hm, shouldn't she be showing up on Cerebro? The X-Men might show up with their recruitment pitch at some point? Unless she can shield against it using her telepathic shielding ability?

A very interesting read, but I'm slightly worried that Faith is too powerful. She seems like omega-level mutant (do I get the classification right? the highest one is omega, right?) and that could make any future challenges... trivial. Anyway I'll continue following this to see what happens...

I am interested in what you are writing, but before I go any further, I really want to know why you are setting this in the present day (2012) rather than in the canon timeline (1998 or so) for when Faith was called. Was that just a typo (Faith's birth date), or do you have a reason for it? I want to be able to "suspend disbelief" for you and your story, but it'll be quite hard if I don't understand at least some of why it is happening. =] Sorry if this comment is kind of rambling, but it is nearly 2:30 in the morning here/now and I need to head to bed.
