I like this story. I've never seen an author explore the Numenor like this before. My only critique is all the dialogue from the Buffy episode. I under it has a purpose, but my eyes roll because my first thought is 'been there, done that'. I know there's still more of the story, so this advice may not be helpful since you've written more, but I am much more interested in *your* world and wish to read more of that, and less of the BTVS script.

I see how you took care of the body part. Nicely done. I find that the end of that season always left me with mixed emotions. Because it lead to the season of unforgive able things. Willow's decent into madness. All the backstabing her firends did. Dawn becoming really bitchy and bratty. Spike being used and abused. Buffy a shell trying to learn how to live. The Powers doing nothing to stop her reanimation. Just a lot that didn't sit well with me. Always been a Spike/Buffy shipper. That or Haldir as I felt they related the best to her. Very nice final chapter. You covered all bases. Plot was good very engaging. Flow was good. You did everything right. Don't know how I feel about the Valar or the Powers. Both seem to sit on there butts until nearly everything has blown up. Stupid. Sauron was one of theres. They should have taken care of him. Anyway. Again this was an excellent piece of work. You should be very proud of what you have done. Still lets not make it that easy for the Valar. They took a soul from a diffrent realm. One that will could be argued is theres. Still falls under the control of the Powers. Give them a little a good deal of trouble. After all the Powers sent Buffy to "heaven" She died for the world, her sister, herself, exct. She would be rewarded for what she done for them. Besides I've never liked the idea of getting played like Buffy did. Not get some pay back. After all they sat on there butts when it came to old one eye. Me thinks some payback is highly in order. More than a little nasty pay back is well with in rights. After all Buffy just came from a modren time frame. There's no reason she should go back to women are property. Which is what her main problem was before. Women in middle earth were not considered anything of real value. Nor barvery, skill exct. The list goes on and on. Only elf women seemed to get any respect. Tolken was more than a little bit of a sexist. Yeah I said it. Let the hate flow kiddies! Lets face it he didn't want to deal with strong females. Other than the white lady and that was tempary. Granted his time frame was rather sexist. So I wouldnt be too hard on him. But thats no excuse for being one. Buffy is strong, indepentant and never let watchers councial boss her around when it could be helped. She did things her own way. That encluded lving her life while dealing with her slayer life. Give the Valar some regerts for what they have done.

ok, so to continue this, she has to be reincarnated. As Arwen, I suppose? Any chance she's still got the slayer abilities? At least, the memories of earth? 'cause the whole point was to learn a valuable lesson of some kind, and without the memories she'd be back to square one, I think. Anyway. Buffy in Middle Earth could be fun.

That was an interesting story. I'm not generally a big fan of 'higher powers teaching mere mortals a lesson through suffering' stories. They make me want the lesson to go awry -- something about the arrogance of higher powers doing that pisses me off. I know its not your intent, but I would love to see the depressed, not wanting to live Buffy of the end of S5 returned to middle earth, since I don't think that the lesson was intended to provoke that level of despair, and the attendant problems of that condition. At the very least I hope that she returns the independent, pro-girl power Buffy we saw in the show and cause endless trouble for everyone in middle earth. Manipulators, even gods, shouldn't get everything they want when they play games with people. Still, interested in seeing where this goes!

Grrrrr This was very pale in comparison to your other chapters in was mostly the basic bones of Buffy , I was looking for more of a fantabulous fanfictastic fleshed out sort of chapter.

I don't blame her for screaming. You see a wave the size of a f&*king mountain coming at you. Your going to scream. So far all I can see her being to blame for. Is not having gotten the training to control her own people. That and she should have had gaurds exct. Considering all the hell Buffy went threw. In both lives, I think she's more than paid for any lack of action. Still I honestly do not see the Powers that pull stuff. Letting her slip threw there hands. They are going to want to keep her. I think they had it all planed out to be honest. What with allowing Willow to find the things she needed to raise Buffy. They could have at any time let Willow know she was in heaven. They could have done a lot of things. Yet Willow, and company go on to f&*k Buffy over in the last few seasons. Willow, Xander and Giles, all have major pay back coming for them in my book. Over all very good stuff. The lord of the rings stuff has been very well done. I don't know all the names, exct. But I like how you have handled all of that part of it. My thoughts on paring Buffy if your going to. Would be to not rush it all in with who ever lost love guy is. Personal I think that was just a young love thing. I would have Buffy with Boramiar. Just because I think he needs a woman who can kick ass. That and I like the two of them together. Makes for a fun time.

A good fic so and Calion the usurper is a scumbag but that being the Valar via Iluvator are guilty of Genocide in regards to the mass murder of the Numenorians and they should've investigated and therefor discovered the presence of Sauron; still that does not justify Iluvator's actions which are that of an unidicted war-criminal.

I am glad you are liking the fic. As to Iluvatar's actions, well I think he thinks like any god. If he created them, he can destroy them.

I have followed this story from it's birth and normally I'm a Buffy/Aragorn shipper, but I found this story to be well written and amazingly awesome.
I must say this is the most striking chapter in the story so far and I hope to hear more!

As for the pairing, well, if you have read the books you know which male character is called the image of Elendil. You would guess right to think him Elendil's reincarnation.
