Review of chapter "Chapter 9" from banner
Review:
I grinned and shivered and got mad at Dean for being mean to Castiel - you always make your stories wonderfully absorbing.
Comments from author:
Yeah he can be mean to Cas every once in a while, lol. Thanks a bunch, glad you enjoy the stories. *hugs*

Review of chapter "Chapter 9" from MarcusSLazarus
Review:
A bit of an abrupt ending, but it generally works- particularly if we assume that Castiel did SOMETHING to limit how much Sam remembered at first, much like I'm convinced he did for Dean when he brought him back-; the only thing I would have really changed is having Dean reveal just what Sydney does for a living to see Sam's reaction to the concept of a CIA agent investigating the supernatural.

After all, Sam's the one who always preferred the 'normal life' concept, but I doubt he ever considered the CIA as a possible means of getting it...

Keep up the great work (The possibility of some further stories exploring Rambaldi's supernatural ties alone could be VERY interesting...)!
Comments from author:
Yeah it didn't seem like we had a whole lot of story left to tell. We probably should have just posted this chapter with the last, I think.

We left it vague as to whether Sam remembers everything or not. My take is he does partially remember, since that's why he tried to beat on Sydney.

I think the CIA talk etc happens off screen, but yeah - could be an interesting talk indeed.

Thank you so much for reading and sticking with us. We really enjoyed your insights along the way. *hugs*

And the beat goes on ;0) Nice ending, short and to the point. I wish there could have been more on Sam adjusting but that doen't feel right for the flow of where the story has been. I think that would be better left for the follow up you're gonna write, right? *wink* *wink* *nudge* *nudge*

It's been real!
Comments from author:
Oh yay, glad you liked the ending. We thought the story was over and if we made the "meet and greet" too long, it could be anti climatic.

Thanks a bunch. *Hugs*

This story has been amazing! Really well written! Not a cross I'd ever considered, but both characters felt 100% authentic. I could really see that relationship happening in canon if they ever met! Sad it's over though, hope you do a sequel!
Comments from author:
Oh yay, so glad you enjoyed it. I think this is a pairing that really works *nods*.

Thanks a bunch!

Great story and such a great cross! I love that you thought to mix these two awesome shows, and created a fun plot along the way. I hope others follow in your footsteps :) The only thing I wish we could have seen was Syd introducing Dean to Daddy Bristow. That would have quite the lol. Nice job!
Comments from author:
I'm so happy you enjoyed the story. Now that we 'went there,' I'm surprised there aren't more Syd/Dean stories. I guess Alias is quite old now though, so that could be part of it, I don't know.

Oooh the meeting with Jack would have been fun, you're right!

Thanks!

Aw..the Hunter and the Spy. Ya know, if it weren't for Sam knocked out in the other room, you could almost end the story there. I hope you don't end it there but you could. Excellent chapter, m'dear. Now all we need is an epilogue where we see a tiny Syd and Dean running around with salt and an electronic 'lock pick' lol
Comments from author:
Yeah, this latest chapter is very short. There wasn't much more to tell! Thanks for reading... and I can totally see the kids like that! LMAO

Brilliant as always; a brief bit of angel-VS-angel combat mid-ritual, followed by a period of peace as Dean and Syd recuperate and share more about each other's divergent routes to eerily-similar lives.

Good to see Sam back on this plane of existence; all that remains now is to see how he came through...
Comments from author:
Thanks a bunch bb *hugs* And the end is here finally!

Classic 'Team-Bris-Chester' luck, really; even when they know exactly what they're after and where to go to get it, SOMETHING has to go wrong.

Still, at least they got out of there intact and with what they're after, to say nothing of their mutual declaration (Plus, the fact that Syd's now aware of Dean's most difficult moment can only be good, when you get down to it)...

Just to confirm, in this version of events Castiel never recovered Sam's body from Hell, right?
Considering that the war in Heaven is still being waged, I think that's something worth asking...

Keep up the great work; I'm looking forward to seeing what happens when Sydney meets her apparent future brother-in-law.
Comments from author:
Right, Cas didn't recover Sam's body so soulless Sam isn't walking around somewhere. And... we're closing in on the end now. Slow but kind of steady, lol Thanks for sticking with us. *Hugs*

Review:
You write incredibly erotic het - it's been so long since I've seen Dean paired with someone paired in a mature relationship/sexionship with potential, not based on frivolous puns, with another female character. Dean/Buffy just doesn't seem to do it with me, and I mostly read a lot of Dean/Cas.

Dean/Bristow is a refreshing twist, even if you did have to play with the Alias timeline a bit.

All I do know is that the plotline continues to become increasingly complex, and the sex scene was more than sex (and was incredibly hot). I now have hope I can enjoy het sex in a story again! ::grin::

Thank You!
Erotic is key, not how many times each partner yells out the other person's name, you know? Ever notice how that becomes receptive in some stories?
Comments from author:
It's wonderful to hear you are enjoying the story so much. I've always thought Dean paired up with someone like Syd would be awesome and I think they work well.

I've written some Buffy/Dean and do like them as a pair, but other het pairings I've written are Sam/Willow and Cordelia/Dean.

Oooh a Cas/Dean fan, huh? I have a few stories with that pairing over my my LJ, in case you are interested.

Thanks for commenting. *Hugs*

Well, that's one significant step made in their relationship; the question now is how they'll deal with whatever else is guarding their destination (Particularly since we're talking Syd's first time in action against a KNOWN supernatural threat, rather than her just stumbling into it).
Comments from author:
I think Syd will roll with it ::grins:: She's good at adapting!

Review:
Ah...and there you have it. The drought is over and the Dean/Syd thirst has been quenched. *grins* I must admit i was a bit confused by the conversation in the beginning but otherwise satisfied all the way around. Love the interaction between these two.

I must add, though, I thought that those two would leave their clothing at the bottom of the sleeping bag. I know it's an odd thing to point out, but if you think about it, their clothing will be frigid when they go to put them on in the morning. Poor Dean will experience a form of shrinkage he thought he never wood-
I mean would. Blue balls will be redefined. He'll give new meaning to the words 'shrinky dink'. Our Adonis will turn into Adona. You can't let any of this happen! Stop the insanity!

As you can see I've given this a lot of thought and am very concerned with our boy and your apparent sadistic streak. Lol Please cont. with your awesome work. ;0)

Have I mentioned how much I love this story and how, at the same time, find it increasingly frustrating that Dean and Syd have yet to experience true quality time? I swear you're a sadist. :)

Sorry... hooked on UST over here, but take a look at this chappie, heh heh. I am... a wee bit of a sadist, lmao

Review:
Another excellent chapter, ranging from such moments as Sydney's shock at meeting Castiel to her more curious approach to the concept of destiny where Dean's experience has led him to be more cynical about it; she may wow Dean with her gadgets, but Dean has contacts that blow hers out of the water.

So... hunting the former Illuminati for the Spear of Destiny in Austria AND anti-angel sigils on the Vatican?
This just continues to intrigue...

Talking of angels, how long until the likes of Meg or Crowley show up to try and take the Spear for themselves (Albeit for different reasons, given their different opinions of Lucifer)?
Comments from author:
Awesome to hear you're still enjoying the fic ::grins:: We do keep trying to show similarities and differences in Syd and Dean's view points which grows out of their different backgrounds and it warms my hear to see you picking up on them.

We're trying to keep the story tight so I'm afraid Meg and Crowley aren't going to show up. But now you make me wish we had cameos for them, lol

Review of chapter "Chapter 4" from MarcusSLazarus
Review:
Well well well...

Not only are Balthazar and Castiel interested in the Spear as well- although I do have to wonder how an angel ended up employing vampires-, but now there's all these hints about what Rambaldi really was (Nice touch with the hint that he really was a Prophet, by the way; only other story I've read exploring Rambaldi's true nature was a Dr Who crossover involving the Third Doctor), to say nothing of the implications of some other group wanting the spear and the prophecy accompanying its use...

No two ways about it; this is going to get VERY interesting!

If nothing else, if the prophecy they were discussing here concerns how only one can be resurrected, it doesn't exactly take a genius to guess that the other side wants the spear in order to resurrect the other guy involved in this mess, which means that Dean and Sydney are dealing with some EXTREMELY dangerous individuals (Particularly since we could be talking about Raphael trying to let Lucifer AND Michael out rather than just demons trying to restart the Apocalypse in their favour)...

Still, at least the ever-developing bond between Dean and Sydney continues to be fascinating reading; their reflections on their initial lack of choice in the lives they lead alone was an intriguing idea, and I definitely look forward to seeing how their possible role in various prophecies comes together (I say 'possible' because I always found that part of Sydney's storyline confusing, and Dean didn't exactly fulfil his destined role when you get down to it).

Keep up the great work!
Comments from author:
Glad the story is keeping you interested ::grins::

As we embarked on this story, we were struck by how similar Syd and Dean's backgrounds are -- as different as they are, if that makes sense. She would *get* certain things about him, and he would *get* certain things about her, just because of their similar life experiences. And their differences keep things interesting, heh heh

Thanks a bunch.
