Always hated Angel. Him being a vampire isn't even the main reason. It's that he's such a fucking coward, only able to hide behind his mystical enhancements as a vampire. The one time he became human, he couldn't cut it, and so had to go crawling back to vampirism just to even be remotely useful.

Buffy's not so high on my nice list either. But at least she has the excuse of being slightly retarded and incredibly naive. Her hypocrisy and holier-than-thou attitude were definitely not endearing though.

Nice short one shoot. Enjoyable read, and a good Xander sticks it to Angel plot line.

Fantastically written. I was never a fan of the Buffy/Angel relationship (or any Buffy/Vampire relationship for that matter), and this story was one of the most eloquent illustrations of the various problems I had with it. It's a shame Xander's dead; I would've loved to see him enjoying his 'victory'.

While I'm not a Buffy/Angel fan, or Buffy/any Vampire fan, I do get a little irritated at the venom pushed on her by people unwilling to put her relationship with Angel in context of her life experience and expectations, and after sleeping with him - guilt.

I put this in the challenge I posted.

Ya, Buffy slept with a Vampire. But do put it in context.
Buffy is fatalistic.(Why not? She's already died once). But she wants that one great romantic adventure before she dies again.
And for her, Angel fits the bill. Handsome, mysterious, bad boy vampire looking for redemption.
The ultra-romantic Romeo/Juliet aspect of the whole Slayer/Vampire thing running through her head.
Willow cheering her on.
I'd have been surprised it they didn't have sex.

Angel is a little harder. The whole creepy stalker/age difference/Vampire thing makes it hard to really sympathize. As does the acceptance/encouragement of the infatuation of a 15 year old girl.

I like what you had Xander do to Angel. It was about the whole context of the relationships involved.To bad you killed Xander to do it - It should have been done it anyway. Good work.
