Still a great fun read, thanks.

Thank-you.

Unfortunately, due to the awful thing...Real Life...I won't be doing a sequel, I also gave away all my Star Wars DVDs.

Cheers,
D.

Review:
Bloody good, I loved it!

I found it yesterday and read it today. Can't imagine how I missed that jewel! My only regret is that it's a one-shot!

Please please please tell me that someday you'll go back to Star Wars!
Comments from author:
Hi there 'Whipping'!

Thanks it was fun writing that story, although it ended up very differently from how I'd first started it.

The fallout from this story was that I realised just how 'crap' Star Wars really was! I know that'll get be into trouble with a lot of people but there you are. Over the last few years I've become very disillusioned with most TV and Movie sci-fi. Star Trek, Dr Who, Star Wars and so on. The main reason I feel this way is that the stories are generally two dimensional and full of plotholes a lot of the time they don't even TRY to get the science right...Han Solo and his infamous 'parsec' speech?

I also find Lord of the Rings boring and the film was only 'good in parts'...might as well be hung for a sheep as a lamb!

So, I'm afraid there will be no return to Star Wars, indeed there's unlikely to be any main stream sci-fi.

Cheers,
D.

1.

that was really one kinda of a strange start, but I'll at least check out a bit more to see where this goes.

2.

hmm not sure yet if I like this or not. At the moment I'm just confused on how Giles and B fit in here.
Comments from author:
I think this is a story that you either love or hate. I think which ever way you go depends how you view the Starwars films.

However you descde to go thanks for reviewing.

Cheers,
D.

Review:
This was so epicly good. I laughed myself silly so many times. You turly did an excellent job. I loved how you wrote Giles, Buffy, Anne-Bot, the stormtroopers, everyone. Evil Leia. Evil Han. gray Chewy, good but stupid Luke. and stupid evil Ben. Just a stand up job on them all. Perhaps one of the most origonal plot ideas in a long time. I was sucked in from the start to the end. An excellent read. I fully enjoyed my time spent reading this. Thank you for sharing.
Comments from author:
Well, thank-you very much.

Yours has to be one of my top ten reviews received, something to remind myself about if I'm feeling down.

Thank-yo, so much.

Review:
I enjoyed this story -- as I enjoy most of your work. Thinking about Buffy and Giles being thrown into Star Wars bodies was a clever choice, and it led to much humor. Also, the story hung many lampshades on the SW film, which I always appreciate.

Occasionally the troops got a little silly what with the use of "Bruce" so often, but I can look past that.

Looking forward to your next endeavor.
Comments from author:
Thank-you.

The entire 'Bruces' hing was a bit of an after thought, I thought they were just a little 'faceless' for people to be sympathetic to so I thought I'd give them some 'character'.

My next story to be posted is the next chapter in the continuing story of Faith in the Army, this time Faith goes to college...yep, an 'Animal House' xover.

Cheers,
D.

The thing about the whole evil/good R2-D2 that I kinda suggested could be like that Bender/Flexo situation they have in the show Fututrama. You know; Flexo being the good robot even though he has the standard evil villain goatee.
Comments from author:
Yep that could work...if I ever get enough time to write it.

Cheers,

Review:
Fantastically fun story, but it should have come with a warning that it might be destructive to childhood heroes and contains the death of cherished Innocence and Naivety for us all :(
I hope the Aussie troopers were not based on Temuera Morrison who played Boba Fett and the clones in the prequels because he is actually from New Zealand and all of Hobbitland will hate you forever!
I liked that you didn't hold back from pointing out some of the gaping plot holes and stupid decisions on the part of, well, everyone. It certainly provided a different point of view to see how Buffy ended up accidentally massacring those Jawas and righteously putting down the rebellious moisture farmers. At least they saved Alderaan. That is a couple of billion lives in the plus column.
I have to ask if Giles is still the Father of Luke and Leia and just doesn't know it? At least he only offered Leia tea in this version :) That was a great scene!
The Buffybot was fantastic too, a mix of Terminator and sexbot that just spoke her mind. Maybe she was spending too much time with Anya? I'm sure she would have behaved just like that on the show if the ratings had allowed it. Plus she would have had two confirmed lesbians to proposition incessantly, as well as Buffy herself! At least the beloved Buffybot will be welcomed across Imperial space with open...um, arms, for a long time yet.
Hey, If Giles and Buffy got transported to a Galaxy far away, does that mean that Darth Vader and a stormtrooper or two ended up back in Sunnydale?
Comments from author:
Thank-you for your review, I shall try to address a few of your questions.

Luke is still Vader's son although were Vader went to I don't know!

The Stormtroopers; definitely Aussies based more on Monty Python's 'Bruce's Sketch' than anything else.

Sexbot/Buffy-Bot; some time ago there was a web cartoon series about the adventures of Buffy, Buffy-Bot, Willow and Vamp-Willow all living in the same house and generally ending up in bed together. Actually that sounds like a good Idea for a fic, but I digress. Any way it was that series I had in the back of my mind when I wrote Buffy-Bot. As an aside, originally I'd thought of having Faith's consciousness being downloaded into a Terminator/Sex-bot because she'd been too badly injured to save. However it just didn't work so I rewrote it.

I keep mentioning a possible sequel featuring Anne Bott and the Stormtroopers (a weird rock band?) but as I say its a very slim possibility.

Cheers,
D.

Review:
The end, so sad, so long to a hilarious story.... So any other plans for a sequel? there is Xander, Willow and Dawn after all, imagine what genre THEY could cock up, maybe even with Anne-Bot's help. Twilight is screaming for a bloody good kicking in the scrote.
Comments from author:
Thank-you.

I'm a little wary of writing sequels these days, particularly to stories that were planned as one shots. But there may be something later...a long time later.

Cheers,
D.

Review:
Amusing rather than side splitting funny, probably too constrained by the movie. I could see Buffy and Giles easily throw off the history of the Star Wars verse enough to make the movies simply not happen.
Comments from author:
Yep that was the plan...and I can live with amusing.

Cheers,
D.

Only thing missing was what happened to Obiwon and the Emperor.
Comments from author:
Yep, you're right I should have put that in...only I forgot!

Darn!

Well, there you are, lets see...Oh-big-one got forgotten about and rotted in his cell. The Emperor...I expect he had his powers eroded over a period of years until one day he woke up and found he was a powerless old man that no one listened to anymore...if they ever actually had.

Sad.

Thanks for reading,
D.

I really enjoyed this story, but it was totally unrealistic! 3000 troopers from Four-ex, and only one was named Bruce?! I bloody call bloody foul! ;)

Course, what do I know, I'm only a bloody Sepo.
Comments from author:
Well actually they were all called Bruce...Bruce 774 remember?

Anyway glad you liked,

Review:
It's been a cracking good fun story and I'm sorry to see it end. The epilogue was a fun read but I'm trying to place your inspiration, any clues?

Well done and thanks for all the fun.
Comments from author:
For the 'What happened next' part?

The hanging of Solo in low gravity was probably some thing I reads in a sci-fi novel years ago.

Liea, well that was a bit like what happened to Vic at the end of 'The Shield'.

The rest? I just wanted a no nonsense happy ending with just a hint of 'a job left unfinished' for most of the characters. You know people get old and don't want to be off adventuring, they want to put there feet up by the fire with a good book and a better pint!

Cheers,
D.
