Hi. I really like this story. It is well written.

Thank you! I have a slightly intensive editorial process, but it's definitely worth it because the readers get the best that I can give them.

Review:
Great chapter. I do hope that you won't change one thing... please don't kill off Spike... he's much more interesting as an adversary. And think of how much he'd annoy Dean!! Other than that, I hope that Buffy will actually get some of the mooola from that loot. It sucked that she was so poor in later times...
Comments from author:
Kill Spike? That's an impossibility. He's got more lives than a cat! I also have to agree; I loved him more when he was bad and less obsessed with Buffy.

Review:
Fab update! I really enjoy reading this story, and get super excited when i see a new chapter. i love how you switch from each characters pov so easily. I love the overall story your telling but its the little details you add in which explore that characters thoughts and emotions that i really like. Its such a treat to read such a well written story, it'll come as no surprise but I'm already looking forward to more ;-)
Comments from author:
Thank you for the compliments!

I was a little worried about the multiple POVs when I started writing this story, but I'm glad I decided to do it. Sometimes, though, I have to re-read a couple of chapters to remind myself of the character's voice.

Great story !
I read it all in one go and am now anxiously waiting for more.

More ! Moaar! MOOOAAAAAAAR !
(sorry, lost control of my inner dinosaur for a bit)

Keep up the good work :)
Comments from author:
Thank you! I think I may need to borrow your dinosaur to bite me in the butt on this story. I've been dragging my feet because I'm getting close to the end. And I hate when things end. But moar is coming soon! (Like this Friday.) And I've got a sequel already planned out. :)

Review:
That actually went better than it could have... glad you let us see the softer side of John. He really is a good man... just tortured and beyond frightened. Unlike his wife who was born into the hunter life and his children who grew up with it, he was brought kicking and screaming into it by a loss that is still an open wound.

Thank you.

Blue
Comments from author:
I definitely wanted to bring more depth to John's character. With him being gone so early in the show, and even then only in a few episodes, it's hard to realize what he's given up, what he's gone through, because of what happened to them.

I think he truly does want a normal life for his sons. He nearly says as much at the end of Season 1. But he also wants to protect them and make sure they're safe. Little did he know that heaven and hell had that covered. :P

Thanks for your fabulous reviews!

Review:
Oh my goodness... Now, you had to end it there, didn't you? Excellent chapter as usual!! I just cannot wait for the next chapter. John Winchester is always interesting and unpredictable... I am so excited... I know whatever comes next you're gonna blow us out of the water...

Of course, I am not expecting the Joyce/John combo, but it really does excite me...

Comments from author:
I might add on to this chapter later... but feel free to use your imagination in the meantime!

I think John would really enjoy some of Joyce's home cooking. Can you imagine the look on Buffy and Dean's faces, though, if they saw their respective parents kissing? Buffy doesn't like the idea of her mom dating anyone - not even Giles got a pass, despite being under the influence of some bad candy! I'd really like to think that Dean would be a little embarrassed, but he probably wouldn't care and might even cheer his dad on...

Darn you, Blue, for dangling carrots in front of the plot bunnies in my head! They're already ravenous enough as it is! :P

Review of chapter "Chapter Twenty-Three: Buffy" from WomanofLetters
Review:
Thank you! I've been waiting for the update to this story. It's one of my favorite Buffy/Dean stories on TTH. I love the way you go back and forth between Dean, Sam and Buffy POVs and the way you've developed their relationship, especially Dean's insecurity about her being his girlfriend, despite all of his experience with women. A very sweet moment there at the end of chapter 23.

Thank you!
Comments from author:
Thank you for the review! I sort of got a little caught up in the holiday whirlwind and post-holiday rigamarole and didn't get to write as much as I'd hoped I would.

Multi-POV has definitely been fun to write. I get to flex my mental muscles and imagine whatever complexities might be happening inside each character. And it creates a different sort of emotional response watching Buffy and Dean through Sam's eyes. Or Sam and Dean through Buffy's.

Review of chapter "Chapter Two: Sam" from WomanofLetters
Review:
I like the structure you're developing here, going back and forth between Buffy, Sam and Dean. And so far, you've got the characters spot on. So funny how Sam thinks "Mysterious deaths, thought Sam. Indications of demonic presence. The high school blowing up." and can't tell her - yet she'd understand if she knew. Love the cover story, his thoughts about puberty, his geeky teenager awkwardness.

Looking forward to Dean's POV.
Comments from author:
I don't seem to have the patience to write multi-chapter fics from one perspective. It's much more interesting to see what's going on underneath the expressions and the dialogue, exploring their thoughts and feelings.

Since we're in the Buffy-verse, it seemed fitting to see it from the Winchesters' perspectives.

Thanks again for reading and reviewing!

Review of chapter "Chapter One: Buffy" from WomanofLetters
Review:
The beginning pulled me in, especially Buffy's conflicted feelings about Parker and Angel and her comparisons of the easy relationship Willow and Oz have vs. her awkward moments with Parker. Of course Parker can't hold a candle to Dean, who she finds herself responding to even though she thinks he's a jerk.

Very nice!
Comments from author:
Buffy really shouldn't be too hard on herself. I'm sure there are gay women and straight men who find themselves strangely attracted to Dean Winchester.

Thanks for reading and reviewing!

Review of chapter "Chapter Twenty-One: Dean" from (Recent Donor)DeepBlueJoy
Review:
OK, so I can't repeat the same thing I wrote last time... therefore I must come up with something new.

I have to say... the poor Kendalls really got to me. Do they even know their daughter is a vampire? It doesn't sound like it. Powerfully illustrates what Buffy has to go through living in Sunnydale. Thank goodness she now has someone willing to bear the burden who 'gets' her - probably in a more direct way than even Willow and Xander, who are after all, still her supports rather than being a hunter like Dean is. As a hunter, Dean has a window into Buffy's psyche...

It was interesting to see him thinking about her home with mom and home cooked meals... and even simple things like shopping.

How different and how similar they are... how much they have to give each other!

Still loving this and looking forward to the next chapter eagerly.

blue
Comments from author:
I'd originally thrown the Kendalls in there because I needed a lead-in for the car scene, but it worked nicely into the theme of the chapter.

Buffy and Dean are totally perfect for each other. You'll get no argument from me on that point. But will their similarities be enough to keep them together? Or will their differences drive them apart?
